Drove it for the second day in a row after a two week hiatus, while I was in KS for work. The rust repair (under warranty) looks amazing. Can't tell anything was done.

Those are some bright stripes on Pepper White, not many people go bright on light colors, but this looks GOOD! Now you just need matching mirrors. [emoji2]-

Went for a bit of a drive. Car feels good. It's been quite some time that I stretched it legs a little.
Then popped in my favorite record store for Record Store Day.

Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble – A Legend in the Making – 12″ 2LP White/Grey Vinyl
Recorded onstage at Toronto’s legendary El Mocambo Club on July 20, 1983, Vaughan and Double Trouble’s A Legend in the Making was originally released as a promotional title for radio broadcast only. This blistering live set was released for the first time commercially in 2014 as a bonus CD in The Complete Epic Recordings Collection boxset. RSD 2015 marks the first time that A Legend in the Making has ever been released on vinyl. This collectible edition includes two LPs struck on 180gram vinyl with one pressed on opaque white and another on gray.
I wanted to get Earth, Wind & Fire THE BEST OF EARTH, WIND & FIRE VOL. 1 too, however, it was sold out.-

Garage door torsion spring guy said... "I have good news and I have bad news"
"Bad news, no direct replacement springs are made for my little 8' door anymore."
Good news, "I can rebuild any garage door mechanism that's been made"....
He estimates my door weighs 500-600 pounds....
He will rebuild the shaft and bearings and add two torsion springs that will have the same lift as the broken single spring. Tuesday next week the door mod begins....
In passing, he said they were talking about a particular old opener that isn't seen anymore.... He took some quick pictures of mine and said I had the very same one.... Then he glanced over at bay #1 and said damn, that one is even older.... Yup, 70 years ago, that opener was installed in my house and it's still working like a charm. He wants me to call him if I ever replace it. Wants to install in in his garage door museum........ Weird eh?....-

Picked up my R53 after finally getting passenger side air bag seat mat replaced at MINIs expense. Had a new 4 door to use for 2 days. Realized how glad I am that I had my much smaller and better looking 2005.

Yesterday Bitsy Mae was dropped off at the dealership to get some work done, nothing serious, bushings mostly. My loaner car is a 2015 S hardtop. It's a completely different can when compared to my R56. It's softer, feels slower and I dont care for the interior. Is it a bad car? No. Is it a bad MINI? Possibly. I wonder if R53 owners feel the same way about the R56 as I do about the F56, personally I havent driven an R53 but as far as looks go, they are different, BUT similar at least, lil bigger not much, and my S rides super firm compared to this F56. Also the front and rear... I just dont care for it.

I've been wanting a Rover. Maybe to tow my R53 to the track? Could get matching paint jobs. Be a little British race team.
I just picked up a Trailex trailer for my 05 - not because I can't drive the MINI to the track - but because I'm worried it won't make it home! LOL-

Say Blimey... See'n as how you work at the speed of light, maybe sometime next week after you've finished your Cabrio project, how's about heading out west to spend the afternoon replacing my rear trailing arms, all the bushings front and rear, adding the Greene camber plates and the new struts all the way round.
Shouldn't take us more than a few hours and I've got a fridge full'a cold beer.-

Not so much what I did with my MINI today, but what I did for it in the long run... I am now a full on UN-CLUB member! No more MINI5280 or MINI-COW for me, tired of all the BS that one member has started, so she can have it! About to call Verizon and see if my phone number can be changed as well.
