Finally got a chance to bucket wash the MINI..

We have a club event in a couple week.. hope to keep it clean till then




Since temperatures are above freezing, thoughts are turning to my first motorcycle ride of the season.. Too wet today but hopefully I'll get out for a ride tomorrow..

 

This morning the MINI got some maintenance work done...
Cleared out the "Red Brake" idiot light in the takie-o-meter...
Replace the front brakes (RedStuff), rears still had plenty of stoppage left..
Did a brake flush and rotated the tires (front to back then back to front).... No criss crossin...




Used my pressure pot brake flusher... No need for another body to pump the brakes... Worked great...


The brake wear sensor is a bit premature... There's probably another 5,000 miles on the pads...

 

Lowered the Coupe with NM springs and Hotchkins control arms powdercoated red.

 

What did I do?

I drove mine!

YAY

 

Installed these on the front. Rears will be another day.

Washed and waxed today, only to get caught in a downpour soon after when picking up pizza :frown2: Oh well, she was clean for a good 90 minutes.

 

Silverback achieved 95,000 miles today.
Still going strong.

Washed, clay bar, Banana Gloss for Dark Helmet in my heated garage I'll try to post pictures tomorrow because tonight when I tried to snap a few shots the BG had made Dark Helmet so black that all the light in the garage got sucked up by the darkness:devil:

 

Got members of Size MINI Club of Vancouver and the Vancouver MINI Cooper Club to get out at 6:00am to donate toys to the Vancouver Christmas Wish foundation in the 2012 toy drive.

 

So, yesterday before the hilarity ensued at Dave.0's... I went on a quest to stop a rattle in the dash. I gave up once it required me trying to remove the top of the dash. (I later found the culprit to be the rearview mirror. I will deal with that later).

The point to this post is while I was tearing the dash apart... I removed the silver trim rings around the speedo and the two vents on either side of it. Today I Plasti-Dip'd all three. I think I like the look. Next will be removing the silver ring around the tach and spraying that too.

 

Since I now am a member this sticker was put on the MINI today.

 

I love the GP so I got my mirrors painted on chilli red. Love the look.

 

Do you think you could have made the picture any smaller?????

Finally got to worsh RDNZL and get it back in garage, with all the things to do with the new house I don't know how much I can get done before we leave but I'm gonna try. Oh, I made these today for my Enkei's!

 

Today I drove the Dragon, washed my car and sat back with a cold beer and admired my work.

 

Got spared a parking ticket and tow by a very nice parking enforcement officer and Metalman who warned me so I could move the MINI before it was ticketed and towed for today's street cleaning.

Whooo dodged that bullet.

 

Monica, did Jim say that they are bringing the R53 back?
