Washed the salt off my car and tucked it back in the garage for a week or so.

Beats me. Door was locked so I left. Let the maintenance crew handle it.

Really cool place. When I was growing up there was only a caretaker living there. Being the kid that I was at the time the old gentleman looked to be about a hunnert years old. He and my Dad took me all through the place and even with my short attention span I was fascinated. Now it's this, but at least it's maintained the way it should be. The place originally consisted of 105,000 acres.

Finished upgrading the brakes last night with Clubman S calipers, SS lines, ceramic pads, slotted rotors, and ATE fluid. I might do the brass guide pins in the future, but I'm not sure why they aren't available for the front calipers.

I'm still on the fence about painting them red and adding JCW logos. The caliper carriers are really different and I don't have the time to make the decals. The only decals I found for sale are white, and they should be silver.

I put a little distilled H2O in the Qvale battery and attached the trickler. Out on the road tomorrow morning for a spin in the 70 plus weather.

Not on the second gens... at least not without cooking the new battery in short order. They have to have a computer reset with new battery install, because the computer ramps the alternator output over time to compensate for the age of the battery.

    Yes and No....
The system is called the BMW IBS and not all MINI's got it from the factory...
If there is a small circuit attached to the negative battery clamp you have it. If it's missing you don't have it (Mine doesn't have it):D...
Realoem lists both cables..... Guess which one costs $215.00 to replace...
And if you are curious.... The non IBS has a price of $38.56:Thumbsup:

Local MINI dealer gave my family tickets to a private screening of the Star Wars (The Last Jedi) movie. The tickets were from MINI Canada to celebrate record breaking sales last year. So a whole bunch of MINIs took over a corner of the parking lot.

Oil change and trans fluid change on my MINI. Still too effing cold outside to hand wash.

I also detailed a nice set of aftermarket summer wheels for my buddies BMW M2. He had me do them last year but rim rashed two and had them repaired. Whoever he used did a great job and I knew what rim was repaired but I could not find any traces of the repair. :)

I stripped all the tar and crud off the inner barrels and prepped them for a nice coating of Gyeon Prime ceramic coating. Everything came off very easy because I coated them last year. They turned out great just like last year. Brake dust and crud will not stick or harm these wheels next Summer.

Yup we are in the round house / cabin by the turn to go up the hill. If we are home we are outside with our cars parked across the street. We park right buy the ramp everyone uses to get on the field for the group photo.

We will have a cold beer waiting for you.

My Silk Green/White '03 Cooper [the Welsh MINI] has returned from the shop and is probably the "newest" one around, given all the work that has been done to it over the last 2.5 weeks! For sure, it will be going to the Dragon again this year! Can't wait!

Changed out the belt, changed out the green jam gasket and washed my mini. Looked fine but think I want to go the 15% route. The prior owner put the 17% on. Feel like it's too much. After 4,000 rpm feel like it's leaking somewhere. Pulleys look good and spin good when I did the belt change. Maybe need to check the BPV next.
