MAG rocks! Got a call and they confirmed that there was carbon build up. They are taking care of it for me as a gesture of goodwill. Made my day!!! [emoji4]-

The real question in my mind.... Does Nathan remember the odometer reading and what was the gasoline level before I took possession...... Hmmmmmm I wonder...-

This kinda sorta goes here. I promised to post a before and after of Penetrol treatment on some of the black trim on Black Top.
Before Penetrol. Grey & streaky. I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol (which was not how Dave.O instructed, he suggested acetone, but I didn't have any on hand.)
This is after 1 coat. (Dave.O calls for 2.) Yes the car is dirty. Taken with a different camera.
And a better image in clearer light.
Many thanks to Dave.O. I'm sold on Penetrol. A 32 ounce can was $9 and I'll use less than an ounce to do all my plastic trim on the car!-

From Urbana we shot over to Yellow Springs.... Home of Dave Chappelle...
Man.... What a hippy place.... Felt like the 60's all over again.... The whole town smelled of incense.... Wonder what they were covering up....
Ended up with a really nice drive through the country....-

Gave my MINI the day off. Drove the roadster through the Hocking Hills & down to Zaleski State Park. Lunch at the lodge. Finished off with an Ice Cream stop at Wittich's. Mt Zion road was high & dry today.
Did a little spooning on the Mink Hollow bridge.

I haven't had that happen with my Mini yet. But when I had my TT Quattro, every mexican and teenager with a Civic and a fartcan tried to race me. Though the funniest was the kid in a turbo pt cruiser. Who knew they made a turbo version of that death trap? I think he got the point when I started laughing at him.

Thought my day would end with a drive. Nope! Went to my dads and put in the aux cord and then started to head home and absolutely destroyed a wheel on a pothole. My dad sledged it back enough to hold air and get me home. Nick (MRNTD) had an extra set of wheels so I went and borrowed them and enjoyed a little firework action with his family. I'm happy and grateful to be surrounded by such great people.

Opened the bonnet checked the fluids, closed bonnet.
Took my 3" random orbital to the front bumper & removed a few clear coat scratches that were bugging me. Added a bit of prima to the area & called it good. Some folks would have removed the bumper & rebuilt it, not me I'm LAME.
Next week it is supposed to be in the low 70's here. Full detail here I come.-

Ordered a new emblem Friday from eminiparts.com as a surprise for the wife's MINI, as the black center on the old one decided to go awol. The new one came in yesterday. I got home early from work so I decided to throw it on. She was so upset when she saw that the old one was messed up, but it's all good now. Thank you eminiparts!
