Thanks. My winter tires have aftermarket wheels and their own set of bolts so I'm good for the next 4 months.

Thanks for the kind words folks. I did indeed get out Sunday afternoon with the classic, the wife, and the dog. The only challenging part of the drive was pulling the shifter back and up for reverse. Other than that, the drive was very refreshing. I like the cold air blowing in the window. My passengers, eh... not so much. With cooler weather coming, my Mini and I will be seeing plenty more Sunday drives.

lifetime fluids are magically used in all those places that when something fails ends the life of the vehicle. Even better are those cars that don't even have a dip stick on those fills and you have to trust some ECU sensor.

As I mentioned the GTjr is a bid of a rat, but appears to be an original GTA not all tarted up. The Sprint is probably my favorite also, the owner is a nice old guy from Longmont Colorado, we talked about his Sprint for a long, long time. It has the original Alfin drum brakes and everything is in working order, the original color was a light gray, this was a Tony Martins repaint from 10 years ago, Tony runs one of the best restoration/paint shops in the Denver area.
I did like the Gray Stelvio Q4, but the Red Quad Stelvio is loved for it's power if you like the modern ones. The 60 Red Spider Giuletta is ownd by the previous owner of Centerline, he has this one and his 98 BWM M3 as his drivers. Such is life when you retire and start traveling the world.-

I’m not an mechanic nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express but your very fortunate that all you are replacing is a hose and some brackets as I’ve seen much smaller craters than that cause substantially more damage.

Tomorrow I'm replacing the front wheel bearings in my Blue 09 Clubman, It's got 95K on it and is still going strong! I was surprised how quickly it failed, it went from a light growl to making huge noise and a vibration I could feel thru the wheel in about 20 miles or so.

I've been driving the R50 now that the snow has melted and the roads are dry and ice free again. I guess it's time to head over to MAG next week for a fluids change before Winter reappears. The R50 just has all seasons and only is driven occasionally in cold weather when there is no snow or ice to muck things up.

Hello strangers. It has been cold and wet and business is really slow right now, so The MINI has been parked in the garage, dirty, for a while. I got it washed today, and cleaned the interior myself. It passed State inspection, and I got my new registration sticker. That's done for another year.
The only good thing I have to say about the cold weather is that my inter-cooled turbo loves it. I want to find out how much more power I actually have when it is 25-degrees outside, vs 100 degrees. Anyone else done that research?

Crashton Club CoordinatorA whole lot of ones experience is up to the dealer. Be that for service recalls or TSBs.
Not long after I bought my MINI R53 there was a TSB about the wrong transmission fluid being used in MINIs with LSDs. Man talk about pulling teeth. Service manager called me a liar & said there was no such thing. I let him argue in front of his other customers. Then I puled the printed copy of the TSB out of my back pocket & handed it to him. He turned all red, but they did drain the trans & refill with the proper fluid. I'm sure MINI had no problem fixing this, but the service manger acted like he'd was going to have to pay for this out of his own pocket.
Next time I was in their shop they had a new service manger. My guess is he treated everyone poorly & it caught up with him.-

The Insurance company was going to pick it up today from the impound lot. It'll be interesting to see if they can find out why.-

Great choice of burn location, with a rack full of propane cylinders just a couple of yards over. Looks like it's a gas station, too.
Real bummer when cars go up in smoke like that. Unless you have a fire extinguisher handy and are ready to unload it immediately, it's usually a lost cause.
Your car will be on Copart in a few days, classified not running but rebuildable and people will bid big money on it. Wait, no, it's not a burnt Huracan or Hellcat (see recent YouTube rebuilds on either one)-

I look at all these auctions. This car sold higher than I think it should have. But it's BAT. The car looks like a kid owned it (illegal tint all around) and there's really nothing nice about it. 5K max would have been my bid.
Good news though, as there's a remote chance I may be selling my daily driver next year. It just gained some value

Parked my MINI outside and finished a full detail on the Acura MDX and let the ceramic coating bake / cure under my lights in the garage overnight.
My buddy stopped with his GP for next weeks detail. He lives about an hour away and needed a ride home. We took the GP and said enjoy driving it home. It was a blast to drive.-

Yep. I have several window decals on mine.
1 Invisible Pink Unicorn outline,
2 Cheetah outlines (these 3 are
extremely subtle from the outside
as they are on the inside over the tint film)
1 small rainbow cheetah, and
1 millennial anti-theft device.
My IQ dropped 5 points, but it was worth it.-
