We use to have a 27 slide out trailer when my kids were young. I cant remember how big our fresh water tank was but I would leave it empty and fill it when I got to the camp sight. That water is heavy and you can tell. You can do #1 & #2 in the toilet but we have 4 kids so thats 6 people. we would use it at night but the cam-sight toilet was used during the day. The black water and gray water is easy to dump, just do the black(toilet) water first then the Gray(sink and shower). This way you get all the crap out of the hose.:D
Depending on the type of roof you have to have the seams resealed every 2 years I think, dont let that go or you will have big trouble.........I know very well!
The part that most people don't think of is a good truck to pull it with. I started with a Dodge with a 318. The camper dealer said that was good enough, WRONG. Next I got a Suburban with a 350 that was rated to 10,000 lb it did very well. It had a 40 gallon tank. I could go 8 hours without needing gas. If you dont want to commit to a strong truck don't do it.
Last thing is when you pull you suck fuel down. A diesel would be a good choice.
The one thing we did like is we had our camper all set up so all we had to do was hook it up and go. We get groceries ether before we left or when we got to our destination. That reminds me. Most refrigerators are electric and use propane if there is no electric. Don't pump gas till you turn it off once you leave the pumps you can turn it back on..
So just a nice short answer.

Awesome, thanks for the info! Have never owned or kept up a camper so any advice is much appreciated. I'm learning as fast as these YouTube rv guys can teach me :D My weight cut off is 6500 and that's just a bit over what that 25v is. We don't plan on hauling any toys as we don't have any, it's just a good deal on this particular camper and they're friends of ours (buddy was just diagnosed with MS and can't drive anymore so they're going with a lighter camper and ditching the Harleys so the wife can do the towing). I'll travel dry and load up on water or hook up when at the destination IF we buy this camper.

Well, no motoring in either MINI for our family today. It managed to snow 10 inches overnight and hit a low of zero. So MINIs are going to hibernate, even dear wife cancelled an appointment and she is the one who takes the 2011 out in all types of weather, then makes me clean it up. :) :(

Take care and brace up for what is coming your way out East.

    Don

A close friend of mine has been on the Nissan Leaf train since 2012 and just traded his 12' with 175k(miles) in for a 19'. I asked him how much the battery life falls off over the years and he said he got maybe 10 miles less than when it was new. He also said the batteries themselves are warrantied for 8 years and other than general maint. and a stereo issue it was a very trouble-free car to daily. I've been very interested in an ev daily for a while now. Got my eye on a Model 3 :).

The leaf is not really ugly, just a bit edgy and utilitarian :). You might like it get the right color and some fun optons, but don't bump it to high $$$ due to the options. Does your state have a tax subsidy or is the model you are looking at eligible for the Fed subsidy. Lowers the cost to a reasonable amount.

    :). Don

Yup, it will be done before the dragon. I have a very good guy and it should go in over one weekend after it warms up around here.

30 on the crankset and 50 on that first gear, the gearing is 11-50. It's a 1X12 Sram driveline and the bike is a Roscoe 7.

Yes that is my Toyota FX16 GTS. Same drive line as an early MR2 with the exception being front engine fwd. Sort of a Japanese GTI.

I started out doing autocross & then switched to fast TSD rally then into ProRally. When SCCA came out with the IT class we jumped on it. My wife got her competition licence & we mostly raced double regional's. I'd race Saturday & she'd race Sunday. It was a pretty good setup, she never complained about spares or tire costs.

So last Friday I went to start the Helmet, it was dead as a door nail. Guess I need to drive it more but with the bad weather and being gone for the most part for 3 weeks it just sat in the garage. I took the battery out and put it on a charger.By Saturday I got it out and drove it around. Driving the truck for so long I forget how much fun it is to drive,

Washed my Cooper and my S over the weekend. I still need to clean out all the cigar ash and dog hair and window slobber from my S before heading to MOTD, and I need to get some mechanical work done at Best, too, in Columbus.

I dunno Dave, I think you need more lights.... :)

Cabinets look nice, it will be great to have the extra storage, to get everything up off the floor and put away.

Our local MINI dealer ran a $20 oil change special today - they were swamped! I got mine done and a few things looked over, they replaced the battery/plenum cover for me for just the cost of the part. And of course, gave it a thorough bath and vacuuming. Great dealership!
