Koni Sport Shocks, Swift Spec-R springs (thank you again everyone who gave me sound advice), and my mechanic/dude/guy also suggested new lower control arm bushings while we were at it. :biggrin5:

Today was a very good day, I took the MINI over to the range and worked on my trigger control and spent some more time sighting in the Reflex red-dot. It went well.

After shooting, I took Scooter over to the wash and cleaned off the 100 miles of bugs from my visit to that nice shooters supply in Loveland. Then we stopped off at my favorite lunch place.

In the AM, I get to put more bugs on Scooter, since the shop is done smithing my 1911-22, we shall see if it is better.

Here is a picture of one of my favorite lunch places.

I'm pretty fortunate. I have my Uncle's WWII 1911 complete with the conversion kit and the field manual with his hand written notes.

That 1911 landed with him on D-Day and protected him all the way to Germany. It's in the safe, but I get it out and admire it every now and then.

Some friends of mine were looking for a used car. They were going to get a Subaru Impreza.

I talked to the Sales manager at a local MINI dealership to see if there was anything within their budget and he said he would see what he could find.

Then sent my friends to see him today. His wife called this afternoon. She says Barry drove the car so fast she almost got sick. Then they crunched the numbers and bought a CPO'd 2007 MINI Cooper S.

I said...I thought you were only looking at the Cooper.

Today I went and had my car inspected and emission tested (PA) and I passed.

The cool part is I am now emissions exempt because I drove it less than 5K last year. :ihih:

Clayed, polished, then waxed it. Now waiting for torrential downpours to roll through.

I was maybe 75 feet from the I-80 on-ramp this morning going 55 mph (and accelerating). A lady driving a Camry coming the opposite direction evidently decided she needed to get on the on-ramp, too (which only had access from my direction). So in her mind, the best course of action (of course) was to suddenly make a U-turn, ending up directly in front of me going less than 10 mph.

So that was fun! In my mind I was beating her a**, so that made me feel a tiny bit better.

Great pizza with Pat at Zamparelli's tonight, the Countryman enjoyed the drive. :)

I get to time-share the MINIs with me for 2.5 weeks, Pat is on the way back to Virginia again, maybe in a week I will have a new granddaughter. :)

C&C this weekend, I will try to take a picture or two.
