If your problem is the same with the HK amp failure, it's a $3.60 part.

Check the voltages in the amp per the link. Then find a geek that can solder surface mount parts.

I got out to the garage and puttered around a bit. I unloaded all of the stuff from MOTD 2022 (I took in my clothing last week, but just left everything else in the car until I had some time to recharge from the trip.

I had been leaving my full-sized spare bolted in the back w/ the rear seats down, but I decided to put the car back to 'local mode' (remove the spare and put the rear seats upright).

Maybe next weekend I'll take the car out to fill the gas tank, give the engine a once-over and wash the exterior.

Well the weather was halfway decent yesterday so I cleaned GIR up and drove him into work this morning.

I met Doug at MTTS 2008 at Elkhart Lake where he was a vendor.. we wound up at the same restaurant later that evening, so invited him and his wife to have dinner with our group. Ordered my custom knob after that..
Really nice down to earth guy, and he turned out some fantastic shift knobs.

I feel ya on the Q5 and it being easier to get in and out of as you get older. I've gotta admit that the entry/exit ease is a growing factor when I'm choosing a car now!

As nice as your car is it would standout everywhere but I understand what you mean.

I washed Rufus a few weeks back... finally got around to putting the cover back on as I was going to do some work in the garage and didn't want to cover him w/ saw dust. :D

I keep mine covered up at all times unless I'm driving. I even carrier a cover in my car when I travel.

I really regret not doing my floor when we first moved in now there is so much junk in there I will never get it done. Our 4 kids have moved out so I plan to have a major garage clean out. Then I plan on doing something like you have done.

It’s good to see young kids play sports and have fun so we go to all the grandkids baseball, basketball, football and track events.

Is Jan still doing tunes? I haven't heard anyone mention dates lately. I wish I had the cash flow to get an extra 100hp out of GIR.

Agreed, I wouldn't sneeze at a 40hp increase. 300hp sticks out in my head because from what I have read in the past it was a reliable goal without having to worry to much about blowing things up. Although I could be remember things wrong. Either way a tune would be required and Jan seems to be the go to guy.

I did not explain the situation properly. The engine had work done to it but only for the purpose of maintaining and the body work was because of some road debris repairs. The car still looked like a first generation GP. The feeling I get from watching these sales is that as long as what is done to a car is in keeping with its intent then mods are ok. Coilover shocks, bigger brakes, header etc. don’t seem to detract especially in a car that has been driven. Now if’n lots of work was done to a very low mileage car then purists would cry foul but at the end of the day only your opinion matters.
