Thanks again. I was going over the trophies I have. I think the best one I've got was BEST IN SHOW (2014) at Mini Mania with over a 100 Minis.

 

Nigel has become my my daily driver since we bought him. So about 50 miles around town for a couple appointments and errands today.

Spent the morning cleaning up my MINI for a club event this evening that will be after dark and possibly in the rain.
Why do I do things like that?

It's been several years, so I figured it was time for a new engine air filter for my 2012 Clubman..

It was a bit dirty, but not really very much so, but found a bit of a surprise under the filter.

 

Thanks and the vet never could get passed me. He could catch me on the straight away but I'd leave him on the turns.

 

I don’t mind a little snow especially around the holidays and the grandkids love to sled ride. Fortunately I have a tractor with a front end loader so heavy snow removal isn’t a real hardship.

 

Since there’s no snow or salt on the roads now I’ve been getting in some drives before old man winter takes over.

 

Went to retiree breakfast and ran some errands and the MINI ran great in the 30*F weather.

 

I drove GIR into work today. Its been a while but he started right up. Looks like he is back to being my DD for a while. I need to start putting more money to my seat fund.

 

Today I went down and started Checkers today. He started easy. The wife's car was a little harder, but it did start. Both car don't get driven much. My truck (2007 Tacoma) has over 200k her car(2005 350SLK) has 78k and the Mini(2005 Sa) has45k. You can tell what I drive most of the time.

 

Then one of these is what you need. I have this one & it works well. I've started a few dead cars that I've come across with it.

Thanks Crashton but I have a Beatit that does the same thing.

 

I've got one of those NoCo gadgets set up as a trickle charger for Rufus, my R53. I've got the hard-wired adapter connected to the battery and just leave the tail end sticking out into the boot. When the car gets shelved for the winter, I just attach the NoCo, plug it in and I don't have to worry about the battery.

 

Trying to get GIR back in the rotation. Took him in to work today, supposed to be a bright sunny day, looking forward to the drive home.
My Mom gave me a portable jump starter for Christmas. It has come in handy, neighbors have borrowed a few times.

 

I’ve been fortunate this winter as we haven’t had much snow and ice so I’ve been able to take some drives.

 

Does this mean that there could be a R53 in your future ??
