There will be a Krispy Kreme Doughnut run tonight in the Vancouver BC Canada area. If you are in the Pacific Northwest and make it across the border to the Great White North, we will be meeting at 6:30pm at Krispy Kreme (there is only one here). Since many people are driving around in the cold temperatures with their check engine lights on, I'm bring my scan gauge to do basic code scans and possible resets for those where they are just frozen sensor failures. Pictures to be posted at a later date.

I have driven GIR to work all this week, the weather has been great. Someone in the office made a comment on how the broken old guys drive nice cars. So I went out and took a group shot

At the time we owned it I worked for an MB dealer so it was in really good shape. I had a hoist in the roof of the garage so the roof was easy to take off. Ours was beer bottle brown with tan interior.

Thinking of getting some new tires. The ones I have are not that old (maybe 2000k on them) but I want a little more grip. I'll put them on the other set of rims and put the new ones on the dynamic pro rims ( Pilot Sport Cup2 225x45x17) that should work.

And I am sure another great opportunity (fast car) will present itself. I am toying with possibly replacing the 11 Countryman, maybe a later Countryman JCW or some such. Not sure even if it will be a MIN USA product. Sigh..... 90K miles on the 11.

Only a week into march and the trees are defecating on GIR. Cleaned him up two days ago and doesn’t even look like I did a thing to him.[IMG]

Should point out the pictures are from last Sunday but GIR looks exactly like that only two days after the wash.
Most of that is from the pine trees. It’s going to be like this for at least a month if not longer depending on how strong the winds get.

Good eye sir. 1962 GT Hawk.

Looks like a rally car after a few hundred miles of dirt roads....
Is that a Studebaker Hawk I'm seeing in the last pic? Love those cars!

Back in January, I had my MINI in for an oil change. They told me that my brake light looked like it was intermittently not working and that I would need to get a new circuit board because it was likely melted. I saw the brake lights as working fine back then, so I didn't do anything about it. I noticed the right side rear brake light wasn't working recently, so I pulled it out to have a look and replaced the light bulb. The board looks pretty good to me. In one oil service, the dealer ruined 18 years of building a good reputation with this customer. along with wanting to charge me $1600 to replace a seized rear brake caliper.

Needed a break from cleaning up after the last two weekend storms so I picked up my oldest grandson from vocational school and went for a short drive.

Spring cleaning time. I bought a carpet cleaner, instead of renting one this year. Got it on sale even. [IMG]

Put the doors back on the portable garage today. What a job. It took me like 2 to3 hours each. You need at least 2 bodies an 3 hands. But I got it done. Getting old is a b ----h .

Well I went an ordered some new tries today. I've got a car show in May and thought it like better with a more of a track tire on it. I ordered the Falken azenis RT660 225x45x17. They look pretty nice. (nice tread pattern).
