I love Fuji cameras! There are a couple I want. I like that they do film simulation. I know I can do it in post but it's not the same. I also like the side, you're right Chuck the DLSR is big. Something smaller that could always be with me would be great. I love photography also!
I like this one due to the retro controls.

but this is the one I would like to get, it would be easy to keep with you

I have an iPhone6 that’s starting to get long of tooth. It cannot use a lot of apps because it’s operating system is to old so I’m thinking of getting a new iPhone15 but not the pro as it’s additional features, while nice, just wouldn’t be used by me. Heck there things this phone does that I’m just learning about.

Not Mini, sorry. Saturday was the Euro car show put on by the local British car club. We took My wife's 66 bug, my 86 X1/9 and the Exige. It was a perfect day for a car show. The X1/9 was in the sam group as a Ferrari and Maserati. Those two cars were parked up front, My lowly Fiat was back in the corner with the other car in the Italian group. The public voted on the cars by group. I knew the X did not stand a chance. I was wrong. To my surprise it won! The lowly X beat the Ferrari! I couldn't believe it. Anyway it was a good day. Here are a few pictures. The gray bug is my wife's. There was only one Mini, it was a stock F56. He came late and left early.

I hate it when a tool just decides to disappear when you’re doing a job so it’s great that the automotive shop corralled the MIA screwdriver. I’m guessing the detailers won’t do a better job than you although it will be easier on your back but a little harder on your wallet. Wowzer after reading your premium gas price I just looked up the station where I usually buy top tier premium and it was $4.04 a gallon.

I was going through my repair orders today just to see what and when I had work done. In Dec. 2007 with 23k miles on it I had my engine blow up. I had done to many mods with out a tune. that's a little back ground for what next. I added up my receipts and came up with 55k. for all the things I have had done. Don't tell my wife.

Saturday was the Chicago MINI Motoring Club annual drive thru a series of Cul de sacs and a stop at a famous local hotdog spot.
We had about 30 MINIs driving thru the neighborhoods.

If I do not it won't be because the car wasn't ready. I have had my car detailed several times by me and other detailers, but it has never looked as good as now. I don't have a clue how they get every neck and cranny so clean. I'll try to get someone to take some pictures with a better camera than mine.

checkers Well-Known MemberI know what you are talking about. Checkers is back at the shop. I found an oil leak at number three spark tube. A couple of weeks a go I had the value cover replaced with an aftermarket one, but it is leaking so today I ordered a OEM one two day air.. The shop I deal with is ok, but they work on most European cars. I found a shop that's about 70 miles away and is owned by the mechanic that rebuilt my engine back in 2008 and did a real good job. They work on BMW's and Minis street and track cars. I'll be using them from now on.

One of the Chicagoland dealerships had a Grand Opening event to celebrate their remodeled showroom last night.
Chicago MINI Motoring Club members got VIP parking in the front. They threw quite a party!! A band, food trucks in the shop area, an artist painting MINI themed paintings, a green-screen MINI photo area, beer, wine and cocktails. Fun time visiting with MINI friends!

Starting a new project. Found some F56 seats crazy cheap. This little tab comes a little too close for my liking to the trim. Can anyone tell me its purpose?-

Got base on the wiper cowl panel and rt fender I got from the u-pullit. It's for my 04 rescue Mini jcw. Easier to procure extra parts and paint, then bolt off and on than doing bodywork on the car while I drive it. It's so much fun I can't stay out of it. I have a freshly done 71 vette conv restomod and it's been taking a back seat to the mini the last few weeks.
