I've got my first car show this year on Sunday. Time to start cleaning the car. This show should be pretty good they have over 300 cars signed up. This year I am going to be in a different class. They call it the winners class. You go against the class winners from last year. The car is going to the detailer's on Friday they do real good job. I normally clean it my self, but for car show I like a little extra.

Overcast morning made for a very enjoyable drive to and from retiree breakfast. The onlyest snag was trying to dodge road construction as it is seemingly everywhere right now, but when finished it make for smoother driving.

I'm back. My laptop must have needed an oil change, anyway it's been in the shop the last few days. As soon as I get a chance I post some pictures. The final count was 314 cars and I have never seen so many cars with such great detailing. My class had 30 cars. All winners from last year.

The brakes are a pice of cake. You will need the brake tool that squeeze and rotate for the back brakes.

The back rotor set screws gave me all sorts of troubles and was not able to loosen them.
A friend stopped by and helped loosen them with a bigger heavier hammer than what I was using, and helped me to retract the rear pistons.

Doing a bit of cleanup and will hopefully get time to start putting stuff together later tonight or tomorrow. followed by a brake bleed/fluid change.

New brakes are finally done and my wife lent a foot for bleeding/replacing the old brake fluid ..
Took it out for short test ride and bedding in of the pads.

I moved my Sunbeam out to my remote garage storage so I had space to do the work on the MINI, but my extra space goes away next week.

Now I need to figure out how to squeeze two motorcycles and two cars into a 2 car space..

It's American Graffiti time. June is car show time where I live. They have several days of shows and cruising in downtown streets. It's usually a good time. The only problem is it's for American classic and hot rods. Still it's fun.

I finally got around to ordering a JCW brake kit. I have the JCW kit for the 05 model , but I like the looks of the GP2 brakes. Besides it's time I changed something.

Washed the MINI in preparation of taking a mini trip out into the country for lunch in Wooster, Ohio...
Used my leaf blower and gave it a blow-dry, followed by a quick detailing with Bead Maker..
It was a grand day to be alive and out with my sweetheart...

Back from my local shop on not-cold air conditioning for my 2012 Clubman.
System was part full but they could not find where the leak was coming from.
They did a top-up and added more dye to help find the leak.
    Nice and cold now..

Today I was checking the weather for the week and it's going to be a little warm. Between 103 and 110 till Sunday. So I'm going to stay indoors. For something to do I pulled out my work sheets on the Mini. I was going to put them in order by company and date of repair. This could be a big mistake. I have around 500 to 700 from about 12 different shops and parts venders. I've got all week.

I had my brake fluid flushed last month. It was at 3%.
