There are mixed opinions about how
accurate and reliable these devices are.
There are some better testers that
measure the boiling point of a sample.
Some are available for under $100.

Today after it cools down coil packs being changed and also new plugs! Not sure if plugs ever were changed yet… if you look at my previous posts about the cabin & air filter… I highly doubt that the plugs have been changed…. And nice shot of the turbo blanket by Forge

Was out and about today and the brake service indicator lit on the tachy o meter.....
Placed an order for EBC "Red Stuff" brake pads... Fronts and rears...
These pads come highly recommended by David.0, who was seen coming in hot, from a trip down through Deals Gap, with smoking discs, finally cooling off in the parking lot at Fontana Village....

The shop did a fantastic job.
I’m going to do the top surface
of the front bumper myself later.
The whole rest of the (2009)
MINI’s paint is still in great shape.-

You know you're getting old when you go back on mini websites and look up old events. I kinda miss those days. I go to a few car shows each year, but there doesn't seem to be very many two or three day events anymore. At least not where I live.. Looking at the event pictures brings back some great memories.

Ernesto Club Coordinator
One of the Chicagoland dealerships hosted a morning Cars & Coffee event.. they carry several brands besides MINI, but we got our own mostly dedicated parking area..
We had a pretty good showing of Chicago MINI Motoring club members, plus a few non-members.
Tasty coffee and Mini donuts.
Not a huge crowd, but a fun variety of interesting cars.
I had to work today so only stayed there for a short bit and got back to my day job..

I have mine stored with hangers on the garage wall... I got the 7000TL, which is overkill for the MINI, but it will lift the Ford Explorer... The 7000 is heavy to lift and hook on the wall... They do make a lighter unit, I believe it's the 5000 series...
The MINI was sitting solid up in the air... The 7000 series has a higher lift height than the 5000...
Not too complicated to set up with the hoses and pump... Probably the same amount of time compared to jacking up and putting the MINI on 4 jack stands.... Might even be quicker... Sure is nice to press a button and up it goes...-
