Traded my 2010 R56 S for a 2006 R53 S. I believe that is something that is well supported by most users on this site...

Warshed it again for the second time this week. Hopefully, it will stay clean for longer than 10 hours this time.

Also, I must say, I am totally digging this whole "having a garage" thing.

Today I was driving on the freeway when I spotted a cream colored MINI 'justa'. I pulled up beside and there was a little old lady hunched over the wheel driving 60 MPH, white hair and all. I honked and she looked over at me. The SMILE that came to her face was priceless...like a kid opening a favorite present. We waved. Made my day...

Have no idea what some of the options are/do, but I guess I'll get it through OJT like I did with my '07. Sure hope I don't regret this later. I have over a thousand bucks in parts sitting in my living room floor that I'll have to sell now.

    WooHoo!

Picked up the car today and it looks great. While I was there they installed the new scuttles and mirror covers. I like the way they look. Since they were replacing the grill, I worked with my dealer who was supplying the parts to provide the red bar grill instead of the chrome S grill at no additional charge.

It warmed up to almost 50 today , so I got Buzz out and gave him a bath - much better now. Of course, I washed the bride's Audi wagon first! Happy wife, happy life.....

I got the call from Eric at Helix today that my car is done and has been tuned. I picked up a nice boost in HP for 102,000 service.

I had the damn BMW / MINI ECU removed and replaced with a ViPEC ECU with an innovative wide band O2 sensor added to my header. Oh and my Aquamist Meth kit with a 1.0 jet is now controlled with the ViPEC. The car now has two switchable tuns for Meth and no Meth. ( like I will ever run without Meth ):Devilish:

Also upgraded my RMW street Cam with a RMW Grand Am Cam.

I have a 17% pulley, stock M45 Supercharger, RMW big valve head and a RMW street header with 550 injectors.

Jan of RMW tuned my car on the Helix Mustang Dyno which is nicknamed “the heartbreaker” because it reads lower then dyno jet dynos and it pulled 268 hp at the wheels in a 70 degree room after 20 pulls and full heat soak.

I am very happy with the numbers as the whole bottom end is 100% OEM stock with 102,000 miles on it. Let’s see an R56 or F56 do that when they are 13 years old.

One week before I join the Bacon Invasion - Rally to the West, my car crossed another mileage milestone. I was not able to stop at 250,000 because the bridge is 3 kms long. I had to wait until I got off the bridge and was able to pull over somewhere.

It was cold today, so the MINI was feeling frisky. I got to open it up a few times on the seldom patrolled, high speed limit tollways.

I had a meeting with a customer, RAC Performance, and one of their customers had his new car delivered to them. I don't know why it didn't go to a Ford dealership for delivery. It didn't occur to me to ask. I was too busy drooling.

BTW, that highly polished concrete is their shop floor.

    Lee,

I hit a pot hole at 2 mph pulling out of a parking lot on the other side of a speed bump. The hole was was a foot deep, no lie, and my car bottomed out on the front passengers side and the bumper took the hit. It was February and cold as hell so it did not flex, it cracked and split in two places. I did my repaira and the bodyshop I trust did the rest of the work and it turned out looking brand new.

You are correct, you cannot buy the aero bumper anymore. This is the same bumper.

I installed a NM rear sway bar and a Big Pair chassis brace. Only thing left is the wheels. Still back ordered. Looking forward to testing it out on MOTD..
