I was crossing the street (walking) when a black-eye purple (purple Haze) MINI stopped at the intersection. I tapped on his bonnet to get his attention and gave him the thumbs up.

Driver was so surprised he waved back and almost spilled his coffee on himself.

I haven't seen another black-eye purple MINI other than mine on the streets of Vancouver in years.

Quick question concerning the European front end safety standards. Why

doesn't the new Porsche, Ferrari, etc. look as bad as the F56? Did they get

a pass or does BMW just have no taste? (I think I might know the answer)!

I drove to my dentist appointment this morning. Incidentally, my hygienist didn't come to work because she didn't want to drive in a rainstorm. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up in Cali, but I feel like people are making way too big a deal out of some wind and rain...

I got a call from my kid's school saying that yes, school would be in session today despite the storm. Really? It didn't even occur to me that it wouldn't be.

Had an adult in person discussion with the Service Advisor pertaining to spark plug and filter change intervals. Literature calls for 30K miles on the plugs and was last done 32K ago. She saw that and agreed it was over the prescribed mileage, but as the computer said it wasn’t due for 5K more, that was it. Reminded her that is documented in my file that they’d re-set my service light on a previous oil change for which I’d paid and should not have (pre-MOTD, but not yet due the free oil change). She allowed as how this would through off the calculations on Spark Plug and filter change intervals, but still held with the answer that even though it was their error that caused the miscalculation, she couldn’t authorize the work under the service agreement because her computer didn’t say it was due. God help us all… :mad2:
Following multiple calls to various individuals, the ‘warranty guy’ was able to get it through to her that it was their F-up, to ignore the computer and instead rely on the odometer.

Sweet! I am leaving Colorado the Friday before the Dragon starts, and most of the other Colorado people are leaving later in the week. We are planing a MINI convoy on the way back again though. :)

Today I cleaned up the appearance of the back of the Porker a bit more...

Rear wiper delete, and actually hiding the "hidden" third brake light...

Taking the Jeep out for a little exercise tomorrow. Wait until next week when I have it parked in the grass so that the mud falls on the yard and not on the driveway as I wash it. That should really impress them.
    Here’s last time for reference:

Drove to the super collider magnet & had all the metal bits in me removed. Luckily I had no metal in me & the mental case I do have was OK. Drove back home dodging holiday drivers all the way. Man some stupid folks out on the roads these days. :eek:ut:

Today I pulled my MINI out of the garage so I had room to take down the outdoor Christmis lights and put them away.

Since my wife saw my car outside she had me take her to Taget for 70% off CHRISTMAS stuff. Ugh. :incazzato::mad2: Anyway after going to the empty store I took her out for Lunch and we cam home and took a nice nap.

It was below 12 degrees today so I decided to wash my car. I know  but I had to get the salt and crap off.

I went to the $5 wash as long as you want place up the street and sprayed everything down really well with the high pressure soap wand. (No Brushes :nonod:) My car was running the whole time with the heat on full blast so none of the windows froze that bad.

It was cool because all the crud lifted off the paint and got stuck in the frozen foamy soap and turned to ice. :cornut:

Next I used the rinse cycle to blast all that away and my wax beaded and sheeted water very well but a lot still froze.

I drove down the street 1/2 mile and put the MINI ice cube in my garage with one little heater and all my lights and the car defrosted in about 15-20 minutes while I went and topped off my coffee. I came back to the garage and I wiped everything down and put down a nice layer or quick detailer. The MINI is looking good and back in the garage for another week or so all nice and clean.

Went and gave Colorado $770.00 for plates on the Porkchop. It was a nice frozen 300 mile round trip drive... 17 Degrees ice, snow, freezing fog... Dont know why everybody else on the road was going so slow, but it was a fun drive.

Also stopped in Colorado Springs on the way back. Met with Sleek???? got the tour of his shop, shot the bull for a while and dropped off Isobell's stock header so he can get a proper baseline dyno on his project car.

I took my car out for a nice little run before we get a few days of snow this week.

I also was told by a kid at the gas station that I should not clean my car in the winter time because the salt helps stop the snow from sticking to it. I said really and I laughed my a$$ off and drove away shaking my head.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Oh Dear God these young hipsters are going to ruin this country with stupidity.

Kept it in the garage to keep it clean until the roads are dry from the whopping 3 inches of snow that we got. Also, ordered it new JCW brakes, rear control arms, Greene Performance BC Racing Coilovers with swift springs and a DeatschWerks fuel pump.
