I sent mine away. It should look much different, and be much faster, when it gets back.

Your spot of frost is actually just a little bit off of where the intake sits... Now if you had one of these, it would be a cold air intake...

Since I am driving my r50 to MOTD this year, I decided to brave the dense fog alert this morning and make my way to the dealer in Dublin, OH, for a complete "make my car roadworthy" session. It's a 75 mile trek, and was a miserable drive. My lights worked well, but the Cooper kept having a "thunkity-thunk" noise over about every bump. That, plus driving in extremely obscure conditions, concerned me a lot, plus I no longer have a cell phone to use for "HEEELLLLPPPP" calls. I was less than 2 miles from the dealer when my right front wheel bearing decided to go. I was VERY fortunate to limp into the dealer. Now, my R50 [CVT and all] runs like new again and I am SOOOOOOO lucky!

Put the fancy tails on, after totally screwing up the originals. They look nice. Except for the single filament bulb used for reverse! What the heck.

It was interesting. After installing, I hit the signal. It flashed fast for a few seconds, then slowed down to normal rate.
I guess the bcm figured it out.

Lets see; yesterday was an alignment (I had hit a curb dented a rim, had it repaired and the tire replaced), Today was a new Radiator, as the thermostat had gone bad and built enough pressure to cause an end tank leak, and tomorrow is back on the dyno for a remote RMW/Jan Tune, after having got my RMW Head, Cam and Injectors installed.

I have been running for a month now with a 'canned' tune Jan sent me for the cam/head/injector setup.

Will post back the Dyno sheets.

    Not all that much, really.

Went down to Helix today and meet up with friends for pre-Dragon BS-ing. We watched Jan RMW Tune the last few powerful MINI's.

My friend Bill (Whales) and his 1.8 RMW stroker motor put up a solid 264 WHP with his new ViPec and larger CAM. It will be a beast on the Dragon this year and it was no slouch last year.

Good day of FUN and Tuneing at Helix today. Thanks Eric for the pizza lunch.

Today I washed and vacuumed my wife's car the I cleaned a set of wheels.

Not my wheels, but a friends. These have not been cleaned since last fall.

They went from this.... (Black inside)

    To this.... New again.

fyi I have been taking care of these wheels every Spring since they were new 3 or 4 years ago. Clean with Dodo Juice Ferrous Dueller Rim cleaner, RainX, BlackFire paint sealant. Sonex can not clean like Dodo Juice Ferrous DuelleR.

The benefit of using Hagarty is that their market is geared toward the car enthusiast , not the general public. The main difference is you can't use the car as a daily driver--only pleasure driving and car events. It is reflected in the rate...tremendously.

My car is a 2005 and when I first called, I was told my car was too new. They agreed to insure my car because of the low miles (it took a while). The bad part is that I am the only driver...my poor wife :Thumbsup:

Nope, I covered the back half of my car closed the garage door and we just went to work.

My car has enough wax to withstand some hot metal sparks.
