I removed and redid my belt line trim. I broke a few clips but picked 2'dozen extras ath the local dealership for $13 bucks.
All put back together and looking good. Time to start Spring cleaning the car by stripping off all the sealant and wax that has crude in it. Then I can polish and reseal and wax everything for the Dragon.
All the cars maintainiance has been done and she is ready to go mechanically.
Brakes, new upgraded fuel pump, replaced filter, new plugs, air filter cleaned, oil and tran fluid changed, coolant flushed and filled, brake fluid flushed and replaced with fresh Motul 600 alignment done. All I have to do tomorrow is instal my harness and clean it.

Got the Rat all fueled up, packed, and ready to go... Minus the beer... I will pick that up on the way out of town tomorrow.
Going to try and get out of work early tomorrow, so I can try and beat the storms that are coming over the mountains... Should be doable.-

Yeah BUDDY!
So am I the first to leave or what?
I am making a few stops along the way... One of my old army buddies is a cop in Kansas City and he is going to pull me over. I'm also stopping at another army buddies place outside of Mt. Vernon IL to say whats up. Then I have to be in Clarksville TN at my adopted family's place for a giant bonfire party like always when they find out I am back in town. And once the hangover ends, I have another cop/army buddy to see in Gallitan TN.
Good news is, having the car loaded down with stuff makes it quieter inside... Bad news is having the car loaded down leaves 1/4" before tire meets plastic.
Its going to be a fun ride, keep an eye on my build thread. I will post updates from (the side of) the road as I go.-

Went to the Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix today. Had a great time with a couple of close buddys and our wives. A huge Thank You goes out to Norm Nelson for all he and his posse did to create such a great MINI corral for everyone to enjoy!!

Today I stuck all the stickers from the Dragon to the headliner... They took up a decent chunk, but I need a ton more!
I also decrapped the interior, and prepared for pulling the front end apart on Saturday...
Also took the Porker out, and remembered what it is like to drive a "normal" car again!-

:cornut:On I 8 from Arizona to California I stopped in the middle of the desert to fill up knowing that the highest octane to be had would be 91 octane. WRONG! They had aviation gas with an incredible octane rating of 100 @ $10/gallon. I looked around and no race track, no landing strip, and no fields for crop dusters. STRANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I filled up with 91 octane to avoid a $120 gas bill.

Fitted my new 15x8 6UL track wheels w/Nitto NT01 tires, worked out what spacing I need, and scrubbed them in on my favorite local twisty road. OMG I'm in love. :cornut:

So Saturday I decided to do some painting on the Porker...
Love the color, love the look, but the high humidity we have been having here in Colorado this summer caused the tape I was using to bleed through on all the rubber of the beltline trim. [emoji22]
So I was going to redo it this weekend along with some other (non MINI) side jobs I have lined up... But the weather is supposed to be nice and mostly dry, so I am taking the Porker for its first camping trip. [emoji3]
Its about time to see how it handles light off road fire trail duty. The spot I am taking it to has cell service (bouncing off of Beaver Creek's tower) so I will probably be sending some updates. [emoji12]-
