    Modified my Yakima roof rack.

Made it a QUACKkima for the Minis on Top car show, and added a watchdog to prevent duck-stealers!

I took my little roadster on a nice relaxing back road drive with my sweetie. Almost made it all the way home before we had to put the top up due to liquid sunshine . Life is good.... :D

It was my first Dragon. I saw the Donut Run was "moderate" - it was the fastest drive we went on while we were there.

I think that comment was an anti-liability statement :)

Race as is which group showed up first.

Oh and I could have passed someone on the foothills but it would have made Blakes car look like the front of mine now.

Ok, Mr drove off the Dragon with new tires and big Willwood worthless brakes.

Motor aside, that is the cleanest shipping pallet I've ever seen an engine on!
The thing my "donor motor" came on contained enough oil to do the first oil change with! [emoji22]

Moved the GP shell out of the garage, to temporary holding at end of driveway, and put my cabrio cover on it.

Sorted all my parts, cleaned out the garage, and laid out position for the MaxJax system.

Cranked Locutus for the first time in a month... battery was dead, because I forgot to put him on the maintainer. Had to jump him. Moved him out on the driveway, got the top up, and put him on the maintainer. Got our two DD's back in the garage, for the first time since March. Wife is happier.

BTW, I think I figured out why my top didn't work months ago. Had the same condition yesterday. Push top up button, nothing happens. Looks like this is what happens if the battery goes dead while top is down. Cabrio computer resets and loses its mind. Cycled the windows up and down with window switches and the cabrio master window switch, then top worked as it should. Good to know.

Today I rotated my tires, and while I had them off, I detailed the rims using Dave.0's recipe including Ferrous Dueller, Blackfire Wet Diamond, and RainX.

What's with all the swirls on the hood?!

It's not like you to let such shoddy paint work come home. [emoji38][emoji38]

Yesterday, a fellow MINI driver was driving his girlfriend's R56 cooper when it developed a misfire. Car went into limp mode so he parked at my place for the day.

I helped him check it out and decided one of his sparkplug wires (with the coil inline) had failed. We swapped it from the #2cylinder to the #3 and the code came out for #3 cylinder. Told him it should be okay to drive home in limp mode and told him to get a new cable.

He texted me back MINI dealer (stealer) wanted $100 for one. So he ordered a Bosch one from Amazon for $30. Amazing! It arrived this morning. Car is fixed!!

I told him Bosch is likely the OEM for them and he checked the original MINI one and it had Bosch on it.

Tell the judge that your old, run down, beaten, rusted out MINI could never get to 55MPH... 87MPH is an impossibility...
