So true. I think I need a GP to drive every now and then, keep my 02 and go full Ree Ree on, and a justa to drive every day.

The only problem I am the only one in the house that believes this to be a good plan.

I don't know the code. I could send it to a guy in colorado with some cigars on the front seat but it may come back blue and rust colored. :biggrin5:

I just freed up a ton more space in the shop...

I was finally able to sneak the Rat out to the gas station without getting stuck in the driveway... Lots of tire smoke was made from the cold pavement, and little bit of moisture in the gutters. [emoji12]

Then cleanup and planning continued in the garage, even with my bum-thumb... Starting to look like I have space to actually work! [emoji2]

No that's not water on the floor... I'm scrubbing it down with the old thinner in my dump can. Got rid of a couple gallons, and some of the crud that is stuck to the floor. [emoji6]

Club did an annual New Years run. Great turnout and the weather cooperated until after dinner. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1452435829.725371.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1452435845.626333.jpg

Took down Chrstmas lights since it was 62 degrees today. While the car was out of the garage it rained like a Spring thunderstorm. WTF it's Jan 10th?

Anyhow after the lights were down and it stopped raining I washed the MINI and put it back in the garage. Tomorrow it's going to 30 degrees.....

For starters, I drove downtown to report for Jury Duty. Having been excused after waiting for three hours, I decided to head over to the shooting range for a bit of therapy. All in all it was nice go get out in the MINI while the weather is still nice.

Woke up, poured some coffee, went down to the garage. MINI is fine then I opened the door to 18 inches of Snow. WTF it's still snowing all day with 29 -40 winds all day until Sunday early AM so we should have 2 feet easy by tomorrow. Ugh

    5280 Club Meeting

Well while most of you shoveled, MINI5280 had an outside meeting at Schomp MINI.

Schomp had an event with three new MINI Clubmans for folks to drive and a free lunch. Well run event, no pressure. Some of the folks took some long drives, apparently per comments the S can scoot pretty well.

In person, I liked the Clubman, with the ALL4 it might be a good MINI for Colorado.

Four quick pictures, the guy in the chair is Chris MINI5280 President, the tall guy in the white shirt is Mark O, General Manager of Schomp MINI, he is becoming more of a enthusiast each year, supports the clubs.

Found my new, winter, DIY car wa(r)sh to get all this week's salt off.

Even managed to make it home without hitting any major puddles of melting $#!t.

Immediately tucked it in the garage to keep'er clean.

Drove to a very rural part of Texas this afternoon where the paved road ended and gravel for as far as the eye could see lay ahead of us. Carefully drove 5 mph to avoid any damage from kicked up rocks, but could do nothing to avoid the dust that coated our midnight black F55.

Took Vader immediately to the local car wash where an attendant took an extra long time drying Vader... Upon completion she motioned me over. Immediate concern began to fill my head! I thought she was on the verge of tears!

Did she break something, was there a huge scratch?

She then began telling me (in Spanish) that she looks forward to seeing Vader each weekend and hopes to someday own one just like it! We spoke for a short while more about Vader before I drove home. I wondered how many cars these attendants see each day and how many other cars generate these sorts of encounters...

Now get to figure out how to repair a spot that looks like bird droppings have eaten away at the clear coat. Any suggestions?
