On my way into town for work this morning, was going through an intersection when the driver of a MINI going the other direction waved at me just as I was changing gears, so I was unable to wave back. I gave nod instead.
Haven't been waved at in quite awhile.

Went to the people I bought the wheels and snowtires from originally. The wheels are about the age of my car anyways so it was coming close to getting new wheels and they sold me a set of these and mounted my snowtires on for $400.

Right on time, because it snowed the next day.

Drove it for the first time in over two weeks. I was out a Ft. Carson, CO for work. But... while I was out there, I did manage to take the 'awesome' Hyundai Elantra I had at my disposal, up to the summit of Pikes Peak.

That elevation is a real kick in the chest. Once I cleared the tree line (between 10k - 11k ft, I believe), I could feel myself gasping to catch my breath. Needless to say, I didn't hang around long up at the top.

The road up, is mildly terrifying. It's not like the Tail of the Dragon, and its false sense of security due to the tunnel of trees. It's just mountain on one side of the road, and sky on the other.

It is definitely worth the drive up if you ever get the chance.

I took my dog to the Vet today for his every other day shot. Unfortunately, last night we got 4-5" of heavy, wet snow on a half inch base of ice. All I can say is: THANK GOD FOR BLIZZAKS!!! It was slow going both ways on our unplowed and untreated roads, but my S and its wonderful tires made it through just fine! My dog and I are MOST appreciative!

I got back from a 7-day photoshoot in Corpus Christi yesterday. My MINI spent the whole week at the airport, so it is rather dirty, although not as bad as I expected.

It was a "studio" shoot, as in we turned a warehouse building into a studio. 10X30 softbox. 18,000 watts. 108 amps.

Anyone know what those cars are?

I can finally have a non-squeaky ride when I take my S for a spin., as the worn out rear sway bar bushings are now history. Ahhhhhh...took the S for a short shakedown 25 mile cruise on my way home and the car felt good again, with NO rear end noises whatsoever

Put on my summer donuts (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S). The first drive after doing this
always puts a big smile on my face.
Also changed wiper blades (PIAA super silicone refills) after cleaning and applying
    Aquapel to the glass.
    Ready for Spring!

Well, I will not have the water/meth system installed by the dragon.:( The garage that is installing it is familiar with the Snow system, but not the Aquamist. He said that the system has so many parameters that to set it up would take a dyno and he is afraid of doing something that may result in damage to my engine. He has tried reaching out for help but can find very little information on installing the system. Howerton Engineering has not replied to him. Its definitely not plug and play. If anyone has any information or resources that they can direct me to I would really appreciate it. If nothing else, I will go to the dream cruise in Detroit in August and let Chad do it. NOW...onto the DRAGON :Thumbsup::Thumbsup::cool:

I talked to Chad about installing it at the Dragon and he feels more comfortable installing it in his shop, which is OK with me as it means I get to go to the Dream Cruise in August. :)

I have not picked up my car yet as all the work isn't completed (380 injectors, splitter, taillights). I'll post the results as soon as I drive it....and then again, after the Dragon.

Just ticked over 36K miles yesterday. To celebrate, I ordered a set of wheel studs and lug nuts from NM. Jerry, as always was great to deal with. DT is going to install them for me at the Dragon.

Looked at my trickle chargers today. All three cars are still under car covers where they have been since November. Maybe going to take one out this weekend, just to see if the tires are still round.
