Got the ol girl's windshield tinted at 50% and also an eyebrow stuck on this past weekend. Don't worry about how dirty she was in that pic, we had about a 2 month stretch where it rained off and on like daily. It was also the longest she's gone without a bath whilst in my care. All clean now! The rest of the car will be re-tinted sometime after MOTD. The old tint is scratchy in places and seems to be lesser quality than the new film.

Today I applied 2nd coat of Gyeon Pure and a coat of Gyeon Skin from my Syncro Kit.

Maybe I will put the belt line trim back on tomorrow.

Old guy was giving me no AC, no PS, lotsa lights....& too much charging at 17v.
Extracted the regulator off a spare used R50 Denso alternator, put the car up on service mode...not w/o cursing the complexities of such a supposedly simple job. All that work to replace such a lil piece.[emoji35]
Grateful & blessed to have buttoned everything up....w/o hitches & extra parts.[emoji120][emoji4][IMG][IMG]

Hey folks, I'm still alive. Some of you might care.

I haven't done anything fun with my MINI in quite a while. My house is 18 years old, and is right at that age where %&@# is going wrong left and right. Putting gas in the MINI is about all I can afford right now. :(

My MINI is surrounded by a garage full of lumber. I'm ready to be done with this crap.

Thanks, I love this car. I’ve been through many and this I will continue to put money into damn the return, I’m not selling it anytime soon or ever.

Time to replace the worn out badge.

The car is almost to my standards since I bought it used.

You would think they put more attention to durability of their own name but most MINIs I see have worn out emblems.

I said good goodbye to my R53 today. I will truly miss that car. The good news is it is going to a very good home. It followed @Skidmarks home.

Changed the oil at home yesterday. I definitely need to upgrade my oil extractor thingy. At the stealership today to have my coolant and brake fluid flushed. Got them down to about $100 for each service, so that's a slight win for the day :)

Did my front brake pads (G-Loc GS-1 street
pads) and rotors (coated plain Zimmerman’s)
yesterday. Bedded them in (their street pads
have quick and easy bedding instructions
compared to their track pads) but didn’t get a
chance to check them out yet.
Already have the rear pads and rotors in my
basement but since the rears have more pad left
on them will wait and get around to them a little
later this summer at my convenience.

Something like this? That is a supercharger down low. Extremely rare.

    Alfa002.jpg

I'll try to remember to ask John if he ran it at VIR. I know he drove it -- a lot, and all over the world. Maybe you saw it. I don't know, but I'll try to remember to ask.
