Drove Dark Helmet over to IPS to get the resonator removed. I'll be Nathanized later today.

 

Drove to MINI of Austin and we bought it at lease-end. Gonna enjoy it while I can.

The finance manager's eyes just about bugged out when he saw the mileage. He laughed after he heard what I had been doing with it.

 

Our Roadster has left port, and is crossing the pond!!!

 

Motored to work in the Roadster with top up for the first time. Cabin is pretty quite on the highway. Going home topless.

Aren't there local laws about doing something like that?
There are certain things you really shouldn't be doing....

Moved some $ around so we can pay it's ransom. Yes, it's arrived and we have a drop scheduled to make a ransom payment to free it from the clutches of the evil transportation and dealer system. Although instructed to come alone, we will insist on proof of life prior to any $ exchange. We've delt with these types many times before and they always try to pull some last minute tricks. We're ready to free our new baby and bring it home. :fingerscrossed:

Some big boxes arrived today with things that were made in Germany... Things that fit the MINI and were tested on the Nürburgring....

Things that helped to stop the clock at 8 minutes and 23 seconds.... Yeah..... Those kinds of things....

Well RDNZL and the 69 got loaded yesterday, no not that kinda loaded Jim!





They are on there way to Hickory and we'll be welcoming them to their new home tomorrow!

 

Met up with some Lehigh Valley (PA) locals (whilst visiting the folks for the weekend) for a late lunch (early dinner... however you want to look at it). Gizmo and Debscooper are hiding in there... #s 1 & 5 from the right.

 

Drove Dr. Phibes 630 miles back to Jersey today, averaged 30 mpg cruising at 80.

 

Stay in the MINI and drive on past...

 

I cleaned her yesterday and installed this Whalen did an amazing job. Cannot believe the difference in shifting feel and the fact that I don't have to reach down... it's like a rally shifter.

 

Got new shoes for it. Took it for a test drive and I am happy to say that superchargerectomy + many other things was a complete success! Man it is good being back in an R53!!!

 

That is exactly why I don't work anymore.
