I drove my older son to the MINI dealer. He was thinking about buying a countryman. He drove a S and non S. Liked the S. But they had a FJ on the used lot. He would like to get it but we couldn't make a deal. Close but no deal.
Also got a picture of my car next to one of the guys MINI that works there. He has a nice R53

Drove it to Holland (Texas) to get a part from an "auto recycler" for my daughter's Mercedes. Got some ideas for future rally routes.

Damn fancy salvage yard (inside). Air conditioned, rows of 'salesmen' behind the little windows. They pull the part and bring it to you for inspection. World of difference from what I grew up with ("Bring your own tools and a firearm.").

Took my MINI out today to Best Buy to pick up The Big Bang Season Seven DVD.

The best part was I took a freshly paved twisty road that is kind of like Hellbender with 2 or 3 stop signs. No one on the road but me :ihih: and I took to and from Best Buy.

Whoo hoo that was fun.

Good thing you have those S-heavies on for the season, to keep the Mistress planted. [emoji14]

I am at Helix having the blue Mohawk (Marzo) do a little work. E- brake cables replaced, timing chain guides, timing tensioner and a little Milleck resonator fix.

Also since I am here and lazy he is also doing a Amsoil oil change.

Today I took a brisk ride to the US Post Office.
It was a good run with the windows down, the sunroof open and the sweat sound of a SC. :cornut:

Put on R56 calipers, Stop Tech braided lines, and Akebono front pads. Thanks to c0op3r for the great R53 brake guide.

Washed it, and as a reward drove it into 'town' for lunch.
