Saturday - I took it up to meet the other ride, that hides on my uncle's property.

Fired right up, after I charged the battery over night. Ended up getting the carburetor rebuilt and replacing the brake light switch. It has been sitting for about two years since I first noticed the leaky carb.

I have the R53 at the house for a while so took it to work instead of the Mazdaspeed6. I do enjoy the steering & road feel of the R53 - and getting to hear the S/C was a bonus (as always)!

Went to the gym at 6:30 this morning and managed to piss off a traffic cop directing traffic. Well let the day begin!

Today I learned just how unsatisfactory my stock run flats perform in rain...

New wheels & tires are at the top of my list now, lala....

^^^ I'll bet it must be like Christmas morning as a kid, every time you open that door in the Spring! That's a very cool R53.

John's (Jackmack) car is the MINI JCW auto show car. The one in the catalog and all that stuff. Yup he ended up buying it.

It is a nice R53 JCW.

Today I dropped off my headliner frame to be recovered by a professional.

I can pick it up tomorrow or Wed then I can have the fun of putting it back in. What a PITA, well it's not really that hard it's just I am not as flexible as I was in my 20's.

Some things are better when left up to the pro's...
Like tuning, or building engines for example... ;)

Saw mine today, it's all apart, covered with body shop dust and has holes in places there should not be holes.

Watching the sausage being made is no fun at times...

Yesterday drove the 07 down for a visit to get the hair and beard trimmed, every five weeks, works, but I still need to do my winter cleanup and wax on the 07.

For lunch, took the CM over to Cabelas for a little shopping in the ammo section, I found some targets and a very limited supply of rounds for the Colt, hope this election frees up some ammo supply for the enthusiasts.

Since I was in the area, went to lunch with the wife at the local MIMIs, it was OK, but should have stuck with what I was wanting for lunch. Bigger menu and more Rocky Mountain French if that give you a hint. :)

Well off to see the eye doc, need some new glass to match the new windshields going into both MINIs later today.

    Ciao...

Yeah. I am aware. The guy even threw in a set of the 'good' all season mats that you can't get anymore. I gave him an extra $5. He texted me the following day saying I paid him $5 too much and wanted to give it back. I told him it was for the mats and not to worry about it.

Got the Pilkington MINI glass put in today, it looks pretty good (clear), no distortions.

Installer had an issue on Wednesday, they forgot to load the 07's into his job, so he did both today as I requested.

Great to be able to see into the Sun again!

Take care, Saturday is wash and wax day for Scooter.

    :)

Took the spare car out of the garage, it needs to be driven.

Put the mini in the garage for a few days.

Besides I can't prove it but I am sure the yard gnomes have been joyriding in the MINI at night.

Today I finished day two of playing Twister inside my car reinstalling my headliner. Man I cannot bend and flex like I used too. :rolleyes:matter I finished up and everything looked perfect again it was time for a good washing.

2,800 PSI Pressure washer w/ a foam gun = no touch car wash. :cornut:

    Got soap?
