Installed this today. Can't wait to quit hunting for lost junk in between the seats.

Just give it time, don't rush into anything. There was a group of people that had me feeling sort of the same way, although not as bad as what happened with you. They're all gone now, I'm still here...You just need to hang out in the right place. You have fun here, and people like you--don't let a few idiots in another club ruin a healthy obsession.

I go through spells where I want to move on to another car, then I get in and drive the MINI, and I always come back to WTF was I thinking.

Rick remember it is their problem not yours. I remember reading your post about what happened. Every car club I have belonged to ended up in a similar way because of a couple people. Don't let them get to you. Selling your MINI would most likely make them happy & that's something you don't want to do.

Your MINI is a great car, but if you decide to sell please stay here where you have many friends & to most of us it doesn't matter what you drive.

Think it over before acting. Good luck Rick.

Rick, I had similar situation back with the Triumph car clubs that really took the wind out of my sails, I kept one TR6 that I enjoy whenever I get the chance, just me and the Mrs. That's all you need. The MINI's came along and I promised never to let that kinda crap happen again and so far it hasn't! I love driving both the TR and the MINI's, if others join in, fine if not that good too!!
    See you on the porch!

Took a nice leisurely drive through the corn-try and spent a little time in Yellow Springs Ohio....

Place is still loaded with real hippies.... Had a nice lunch with my wife there...

Brought my dog along that kept sniffing the air... Had a unique smell... Lot's of tie dye tee shirts and incense... It felt good to get out and take a cruise in the MINI.....:D

That's because some dingdong redesignated the oil filters to have the same last 3 or 4 digits in the part number for the first and second gen filters. Happened to me once before. I just restocked myself with Mahle filters from amazon. Exact same OEM filters minus the BMW/MINI packaging.

Found out the days I had scheduled for pre MOTD are also the days my normal tech will in training. Took pastries to the shop today as a bribe to get on a different schedule.

    It worked...

    Tinted, Waiting for Mirror Covers

Not terribly exciting, but got windows tinted today, 35% on rear window and back side windows, 50% on driver and passenger side windows. I think the black tinting ties well with the black roof, wheels and mirrors. Can't wait to receive recently ordered black and grey checkered side view mirrors.

Friend called at lunch time and said why aren't you in class. I said class is tomorrow. He said no the second half starts in ten minutes we were wondering where you are. OPPS. Its a 40 to 45 minute drive to work. I showered shaved and got to work in 45 minutes flat.

Today I took my Mini on a high speed run. :D
