I found out about a gas station, only ten miles from my house, that sells ethanol free unleaded 92 octane gasoline. It used to be an "on account only" fleet station, but it is now open to the public. It has credit card readers now.

    I filled up the MINI

Dropped off the GP at the dealer for the struts, a dash rattle, an alignment, and an oil change.

Also picked it up. Everything's done, the suspension is silent, and I'm back in the GP.

And I'm interviewing for a job there on Thursday.

Yeah. Pretty much. Had to eat the cost of shipping them back... but so did they. Hopefully, tonight I can get the driver's seat in. When I called them up to explain the issue(s), at first they were flabbergasted.... "we've never heard of these issues before!" So, I took plenty of pics, sketched up a simple blueprint, and sent the brackets back. They made all new brackets, reinstalled the sliders, and shipped them back. They were more than amenable to the situation. If anyone else gets seats out of an Evo 8, and wants them in their R53... contact www.Wedgebrackets.com and ask for Scott.

Visited Helix today! As good as it was to see Eric, Mike, Isaiah, Ryan and surprise guest Zach (Zillion), the best part of my day was visiting Dallesandro's where I ordered and consumed not one, but TWO entire Cheese Steaks "wit" Wiz, onions, and crushed hot peppers. Can you say FULL BELLY?!?!

Hate to say it again Savvy, but those seats look like poo on camera! I know its the material, and in person they look much better, but not in pictures.

Think 1/2-5/8 of an inch off center is bad... Try driving a military H1 Hummer... The steering wheel is about 3-4 inches to the right from the center of the "seat", you pretty much have to sit at an angle if you want to use both hands!

Today my R53 chassis turned over this many miles...

    (83,000)

So I put in $50 worth of this...

    (A little over 7 gallons)

Then it had a light snack...

Changed the oil in the engine and the gear box. I must say, I do love having access to the Auto Craft Center on post where I work. They even had a nifty nifty pump to make refilling the transmission a 5 minute job.

This weekend I swapped out my exhaust from the Dragon straight pipe back to the Milltek.
I also for the first time since before the Dragon detailed my car. Yes I had washed it several times but never really cleaned the paint with my DA since before MOTD.

It's just black belt line trim, black markers and black emblems. Nothing really to see because the bumper is not done yet.

I will post up pictures when everything is done and assembled.

The paint got left behind on the Donut run... [emoji12] I would like to say we were going so fast that the paint peeled off, but the highest speed limit sign I saw was 40... [emoji6]

Today I took my car out and washed all the crud off of it from this last weeks excursions and parked it back in the garage before the thunderstorms.
