Received my new JCW steering wheel via USPS and ordered a Dimple magnetic drain plug.

And now, after all that hard work, I'm gonna watch "Fear the Walking Dead".

 

Lightened it just a little.

 

Just back from a drive to a great little hot dog place and one of the best coney dogs and fresh cut fries I can find.

 

Added a stripe.

 

Today I got the Rat-MINIs living quarters cleaner than it has been in YEARS! I can actually see the floor! [emoji12]

And I added a new stable mate for it to play with while the doors are closed...











This RX-7 might become a permanent fixture around here... Depending on how much the current owner wants to deal with it. Its not perfect by any means... It currently doesn't run, but we have narrowed it down to some simple possible fixes, and for being a 1989 car out of Seattle the body is pretty clean and mostly rust free! I know a guy who is going to fix all of that though. [emoji12]

 

Took Checkers to the golf course. Great day and drive.

Buffed the Porker into a mirror yesterday, and tonight, I'm taking it to the top of a mountain to watch a sunset with a pretty redhead. [emoji2]

This weekend:

Did an oil change/fluid fill on my 06' R53. Feels like its running better...but I'm sure that's all psychological. Also removed the dash panel below the steering wheel to begin fitting the euro parcel shelf I have, but ran into a rats nest of aftermarket audio that had been randomly strapped all over the place. Decided to forego working on that until later this week.

Next I worked on trying to organize the parts I have removed so far from the 04' JCW into their respective KEEP, SELL, SCRAP piles. Also started removing the Wilwood kit from the front of the 04' It doesn't look to be in the best shape, powdercoat is flaking from the calipers, and the rotors look well used. Nothing a little time and some $ wont fix I think, but will know more once its all off.

UPDATE: Removed the iPhone FM modulator from my 06 which was the aforementioned rats nest, and got the parcel shelf installed. So much better. Also got the Wilwood kit removed from the 04. Was an unusually nice evening to work in the garage.

 

Drove it to the Credit Union today and signed a lot of papers. Went to PT and then just drove around for a while. I gotta say... so far, I Like It! Love the seats and the HK sound system. Already started ordering parts. Felt like an idiot when I stopped for gas today. They moved the darned filler to the other side!



Crap! Now I've gotta change my signature!
