Took a day off and helped set up the 50km and 25 km bike routes for this year's Ride for Refuge. There will once again be a MINI doing route marshalling and route support for the 700+ cyclists in the Vancouver BC event.

..and the shameless plug for this event...

For the Vancouver ride, in 2011 when I started doing this, there were just over 150 riders. For 2015, there are over 750 riders registered so far.

Today I got to hear the sounds of the Rat ripping through the canyons for probably the last time this year... [emoji20]
It was a fun drive but lots of traffic on the roads I took, but I guess that kept me out of trouble.
Here's a tunnel video for the audio... [emoji12]

Still wish Erin could go with me more often, but our work/off schedules hardly ever allow it. She loves riding in that car as much as I do! [emoji2]-

Took the new Countryman for it's first Club Drive with MINI5280. Good group of folks, some east of Denver roads, some up north, we ended up in Boulder.
A great Sculpture park then the club members went on a tea tour at Celestial Teas, I passed, spend some time looking a great Western bronzes and Western Art.
Clicked off 150 total on the CM, going to be slow run up to that break-in 1200, of course I do not follow the rules. So no big deal.
Still going to update the garage.

Today, I am preparing 'Pepper' to go into hibernation mode. I made my wife a promise when I bought my car in May that I would not do any mods that might render the car inoperable on 'any' sunny day. Soooo, let the mods begin. Gauges, CD player, additional accessories electrical circuit and all of the things that the Modfather is painting for me.
Also, I have the tools to polish metal. If anyone has a set of inter-cooler clamps that are beat up, dingy, and ready for the scrap heap, let me know. If you have any, I will polish them and perhaps some custom texturing...and return them to you. If I screw them up...SORRY, but... I need to practice
Boy, did this post get carried away...-

Yesterday it got washed, clayed, and waxed. Also went to the dealer for an oil filter. It's easy to spot the pick of the litter.

Okay, here is the story behind the Dark Helmet name. A nice young lady once said that my Coupe reminded her of a car that Darth Vader would drive. I nicely responded that I was more like Rick Moranis in Space Balls than Darth Vader thinking she would laugh and find that appealing......it didn't work. Here's a recent photo taken by Crashton

I have gotten very bad customer support from Alta. check our sponsor section. these are the guys that support. Detroit Tuned, Helix, RMW, outmotoring, and eMini parts to menchin a few have really supported the mini community. They come to the Dragon and they are helpful both on the phone and here on this forum.
I support them because they support us.-

Seems to be flooding. Yeah, it's not been the best day.
Thanks to Carol for the charger rescue. Oh and we went over the proof too. Calendar off to print this coming week.-

Took my driver's side Mitsubishi Recaro out to replace the back support last week. Replaced it with a brand new piece today.
Also, I added the stand-offs on the front end to give the base a bit more of an incline. Much more gooder.
Also helped out WolfGTI to replace his passenger side window regulator. His $#!+ the proverbial bed.

Well, it wasn't today; but I traded my R53 in for a R56.
Went from a black on black R53 to a Spice Orange with black top and mirrors R56. I am extremely happy with the switch, I actually fit in the R56! If there was anything at all different about the car, I highly doubt I would have made the switch. JCW exterior and interior packages, premium package, sat nav, cold weather package. It only has 23k miles on it compared to the 103k on the R53.-
