Houses take time and money away from our cars. But I like it better than an apartment.

 

Well, it wasn't today; but I traded my R53 in for a R56.

Went from a black on black R53 to a Spice Orange with black top and mirrors R56. I am extremely happy with the switch, I actually fit in the R56! If there was anything at all different about the car, I highly doubt I would have made the switch. JCW exterior and interior packages, premium package, sat nav, cold weather package. It only has 23k miles on it compared to the 103k on the R53.

 

My MINI replacement took me for a nice back road out in the country drive today. Beautiful day here in the Ohio countryside.

 

Loading my Cravenspeed and NM Engineering parts into the Mini. Heading out to my buddy's house (he has a lift! ) to install said parts. There will be pictures later.

 

Bought me a 2006 R53.... (Yes I've been Deflowered) "My First Mini"

Always wanted one..... Thank You Wife!!!!

Went motoring and visited a fellow motorer not too far from my place.

 

I added some 5 horsepower decals to mine. I wish I could have found some of my old STP stickers... those are good for at least 10 HP. :cornut:

 

How about Dragon Eyes under the hood:
They've gotta be worth 5 hp each

 

Got my wheels back from the powdercoater, and Blizzaks were delivered to my installer, but wasnt able to get time off work to get them put on before the snow :-(

They look nice sitting in the garage.

 

Loading the car and getting ready to head for my girlfriends home in Asheville, NC. Beautiful day for a 260 mile drive. First long drive since my surgeries and the first in the new car. I'm gonna use mid/sport modes on the way there and use the green mode on the way back to compare the difference in mileage. Y'all have a good weekend.

 

When I asked my father-in-law to marry his daughter (it was 32 years ago and yes I'm old school) he said he'd decorate the ladder.

 

Drove the MINI again, this time to go look at a possible winter vehicle.

Should have this in about 2 weeks....

 

Put some arch trim on it. Better.

 

Froze one of mine...

 

Crossed another mileage milestone.




and received a cold temperature spark plug that's edible.

 

Had a busy day (Sunday).

Went on a breakfast drive with the local MINI club.



Then worked on sound mixes for two Christmas show performances.



I still have my regular day job to go to so very tired. :crazy:

 

Nothing today. Both minis are parked. While it snows!Merry Christmas everybody

 

I made it a point to drive the both of them one last time in 2015. Not like it was a big deal, I've driven 'em before.
