Been missing from M/A the last week because I have been out motoring.
I drove the Pacific Marine Circle from Sooke BC to Port Renfrew BC, Botany Bay. Then through the middle of Vancouver Island to Lake Cowichan and pass by the Vancouver Island Motorsport circuit. I counted 238 turns and pretty sure I missed a bunch. Then there are all the elevation changes. This is a great drive for MINI drivers who might not want to track their car at the Motorsport circuit but want a really fun road to motor on with some stunning scenery. The route itself is fully paved. Running along the west coast of Vancouver Island, and then through the middle over the mountains. There is no mountain pass. This is essentially a paved logging road.

Since, for this trip, I drove the Countryman, there was the option of checking out how good this All4 system was.

It was fun! Nobody on the road. No cell phone coverage, no internet, no electricity. Just motoring!

technically I did this to my MINI yesterday, not today. It was time to swap out the fun robbing Milltek resonator pipe. When the super charger intake noise drowns out your pops and burbles, you have to take action.
Apart from that, I finished the R56 trailing arm conversion. More on that should I ever find time to edit the video footage I took of the entire job.-

New GP Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works GP Kit # 0808 of 2000
Well, I added a Gen 1 to my MINI collection... I bought a (2006) GP, most will know what it is but here is the scoop:
2006 Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works GP Kit # 0808 of 2000, only 415 made it to the US. Had 10,300 mls when i bought it in Scottsdale Arizona last Wednesday… me and my brother flew over and drove it back…. woowho…
I installed the 1/8" I-POD jack and hard wired my RedLine Radar in last night....thats all i'm doing to it.... car is stock all the way to the OEM MINI air filter. Owed by a car collector in Arizona.

Went out for a drive this evening and conveniently turned 7's at a place where I could stop and safely take a photo.

Got called a hooligan for driving around a major shopping area full of SUV's like they were cones in an Auto-X.
For you locals, I was in Easton Town Center going to the Apple Store, so what if it bounced off the rev limiter in 2nd gong by Nordstom's.-

Made loud exhaust sounds in my head while I went for an imaginary drive in my head.

Do we not have a gun thread here? Seems like quite a few of us have one of the same hobbies...
