What is it they say about all good plans often going to waste? I REALLY wanted to take the wife's MCSa with its new, used Blizzaks out this afternoon. Alas, the poor baby was under about 5" of hard packed snow and ice and I could not get the passenger door unfrozen. So, we ended up taking MY MCSa with its own Blizzaks, instead. Piece of cake. I should probably consider putting HER car in the garage, but that would involve my putting the Silk Green R50 outside, and THAT ain't gonna happen as it NEVER ventures outside in snowy and frigid weather! :nonod: soa, I guess HER car will have to stay put and I'll clean it off and warm it up for her if she needs to go out and about. :ihih:

Drove around in Skooby. Now it's two toned brown & salt white.
The Blu MINI sleeps in a warm garage all nice & clean.

So much eye candy. I want one of those. The cars too.

Me? I'm just driving my car. The weather here has warmed up to above 7c. It will get over 10c (spring weather) so it appears the big freeze on this end of the country is over. I am contemplating putting the summer tires back on. :cryin:

My interior door handles are all scratched up and look bad. I was going to paint them but mine are plastic welded together.

Went for a drive in my S today...I HAVE to be living under a dark, DARK cloud. My hood scoop flew off on the interstate, so I pulled over to retrieve it when a semi obliterated it. Damnnnnn....:frown2::mad5:

Royal Grey, a great color. If you had an R56 I could fix you up with one in Dark Silver, only a little heat warpage. :)

Could have been worse, at least the semi didn't obliterate you. It is just a part that can easily be replaced.

It WAS living on borrowed time...all those trips to and from the Dragon, and then, to Mid Ohio and Putnam Park and back, plus assorted twisties and Ohio roads in general loosened it by breaking off the clips that held it in place. I used packing tape to hold it down for awhile and then Russell from MINI FINI glued it down while I was at MOTD 3 years ago. It worked loose again and so, finally I J-welded it and it held well...til yesterday afternoon, that is. It's not so much the scoop that I'll miss, but I will that neon orange dragon I had on it [scoops are easy enough to find but that neon dragon isn't around anymore...not even on eBay]. :incazzato:

Took my S out for a long day's drive and now there is more antifreeze on the garage floor.:mad2: I was just at the dealer last week and so, it looks like a new scoop is the least of my problems.:mad5:

Thanks, Dick, for the sticker and scoop offer, but I'm gonna have to pass for now. I need to find out what's going on with that antifreeze leak first, before the next Winter blast hits. Thank God the MINI dealer guarantees repairs for 2years, though. I'm kinda liking the empty scoop hole and the screen I put in the back keeps any road crap from getting inside.
