Had the same sorta warranty issue a couple years ago at the Beemer shop. Got kinda heated, but I prevailed... My Service Writer left her job a couple months later.

Loaded up George the cat & headed off to the vet for his biannual trimming of the claws.

Came home & put some nice new plates on the Blu one. The others were beat to shirt after 9 years.

Added 'between 6K' oil to my MINI for the first time today. About a quart low, and about 1K away from my on-schedule (6K) oil change. 57K on the MINI.

Must be time to start shopping for a Fiesta ST (;), kinda).

I went to the store and got birdfeed - and have finally succeeded in thwarting the squirrels who used to empty it out in 15 min!

I bet a cm all4 is a blast in the snow. I'd love to have one myself, it would still be fun to drive and as a bonus the kids could put their feet on or near the floor while riding in the back seat.

I am 5'11" and have plenty of room sitting in the back of the Porker with the front seats in their normal positions! ;) Yeah my knees are in the indent in the back of the front seats, but its not like sitting sideways in the back of an R53, so kids wont have a problem in the back.

RMW has definitely been top on my list. I just have to call him to figure that whole process out. Maybe get enough people interested in doing a tuning weekend and have him out to Colorado!

Also looking at a stand alone ECU...

How many guys would it take to get him out? I am hoping by mid to late summer to have a dyno in the shop... Have to justify the cost somehow!

Dealer rant: Showed up to the dealership today for an appointment I had made over a month ago. My car was imported from Italy about 8 months ago. I Gave the dealer my VIN and explained my issue with my power steering when I made the appointment. The service advisor informed me everything would be covered under warranty and made the appointment. I made it very clear it was recently imported, he said it wasn't an issue after looking at my VIN!

I live around 100 miles away from the dealer, When I showed up they told me they could not work on the car till the warranty was registered here in the USA.Takes about a week for this to happen. That would have been good to have known prior to the trip there and back!

It was a frustrating morning! Thanks for listening :)

No F56 loaner for me today! Might be more bummed about that...

Hope you got their commitment to cover under warrantee in writing. I just had a case where I was told by Whirlpool customer service they would cover replacing the ice maker in my fridge, then they reneged on that and said the other representative didn't document the conversation and they couldn't cover it. Not that concerned about the $, but when you say you'll do something, then you ought to do it. Needless to say, I'll never buy another Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid product again. Best of luck to you!
