Yes...mosquitoes. Spring is about a month early here in the Vancouver BC area. The bugs are out early too, unfortunately.

Took the winter tires off today and put the summer tires on. Amazing how much faster around the corners low profile higher summer tires are. :biggrin5:

Got it dirty! Took a 2 1/2 run to the airport to pick up the wife and stopped to see the grand kids on the way home. I am kind of amazed at the amount of kamikaze bugs that ran into me.

Washed Babs Skooby the clubster, boy did it need it. Found that some nice Bozo put a scratch down the passenger side. I've got most of it polished out.

Cleaned it up in hopes of getting it sold. Tired of mini and BMW! That incident with the local mini club has left a real sour taste that I am willing to get rid of.

Oh I'm definitely in clubbed and forever will be from now on but that experience with that club and people that I thought were friends has ruined my mini ownership desires. It's so bad that I really have no desire for anything mini related not even MOTD!

I know Dave but the bigger issue for me is I have lost the desire for my mini.

    Skooby needs a Jarvik 7

Monday when cleaning the winter crud off Skooby I noticed the coolant was down about a 1/2" added some & continued. Today I checked again & the coolant is down 1/2" again after about 40 miles of driving. The garage floor has a wet spot that is coolant. Guess I should be happy that plastic piece of carp lasted 65,000 miles. :incazzato:

Chuck it could just be that wild looking hose assembly. Check that first.

I gave mine it's semi annual tire rotation. I've only managed to rack up about 10k miles since those tires were new. How many miles do 60k all seasons typically last on an enthusiastically driven (all stock) n/a mini? I have goodyear eagles with a 360 treadwear rating. I don't think they'll make it to 20k. They do handle nicely for all seasons, though. If I am able to make it to the dragon this spring, they definitely won't live another 12 months.

Oh, also, didn't swap to Summer tires yet as 3-5" of snow just popped up in
Friday's forcast. Not fair on the first day of Spring!

I saw a Miata in heavy traffic with the pulsing 3rd High Brake Light. I liked the attention-getting effect (the Center High Mounted brake light flashes/pulses for a few seconds when the brakes are applied), as it might aid against getting rear-ended in traffic.

I bought the Coupe Concepts version that OutMotoring sells.

The photo I posted is simply an attention-getting device as well.
