Didn't actually do this, but my son got t-boned in our clubman. A lady stopped at a 4-way stop intersection, but then drove thru even though there was a car in the way. Nobody hurt except for the cars.. Got some fixing now.

Front end service mode... and more stuff found that needs fixin'
Deer in Nebraska did break some plastic underneath all the shiny outside skin. Anyone know what the whole plastic assembly is called that holds the radiator and all the other stuff all the way out to the horns to the front of the R53? I may have to visit some junk yards, because I bet BMW wants a bundle for all that plastic. -

For now I'll wedge it back in, as it was ok for 3000+ miles. I was pretty lucky when we hit that (dead and pre-tenderized) deer a truck in front of me had just hit that nothing much else was broken. The bottom right of the AC condenser is pretty bent and slightly crushed. It appears that corner took the most of the force, which then must have ripped that plastic frame around the driver side radiator support. The entire "skid plate" behind it was ripped away, too. But visually from the outside, all I could see was a lot of static fur clinking to the back of the Mini -
yes, I found a few at about half off. Quite unexpected for a part that usually only gets replaced in case of a collision. -

Another 124,000 to go & we are even on miles. Glad you are enjoying the Blu MINI.
Why are you going so slow?

Car was stumbling a bit at idle, changed out the plugs and wires. Went with the NGK BKR6EIX. Idles smooth as silk now.

pulled off the radiator, used a can and a half of brake cleaner on the front of the motor (plus wood scrapers to help loosen up the thickest chunks of oil grime), and once revealed to the light of day again, pulled the CPS sensor and put a nice new blue silicone o-ring on there. Now that I'm that deep into the car, I am kicking myself for not ordering super charger oil. Not going to be that much more work to pull the super charger.
Have to see if I can find that GM oil locally or find it on Amazon with fast shipping - the radiator won't go on until late next week when the new support frame arrives. -
