Thanks for asking. No I didn't buy it from the Qvale family. I do know the ownership history and it's about as interesting as it comes. This was originally his oldest son's car and was later owned by his younger son. Check out my garage for a bit of the story... The plates pay tribute to the car's history and Mr Q.

Dropped off the car at the alignment shop - picking up at the end of the day. Wheels finally will be straight after a complete suspension overhaul.

And since I am spending money on the car, and M7 has a sale, I finally ordered the strut brace. Gotta protect yourself from strut tower fungus.

Hidden ploy for weight reduction of your MINI? Have you also added "Speed Holes" in the body work? :D

Went to the DMV, paid the $49 and got a sticker to keep it legal on the road for another 12 months. Herself can now zip around with abandon.

I love the color of your car! Even though it's still brand new, its appearance really shows how hard you've worked and much you care about it.

Went to the eye Dr. for annual check. Just starting to contract back from wall-to-wall pupils and becoming able to properly focus.

I wish I had though of that when I was stationed in CA. The neighbors already thought I was OCD, washing grass... I mean my car everyday would have confirmed it

I finally cleaned out the last few traces of MTNC. Gave it a good bath and a wipe down.

Fairly new, when I got new alloys I got the garage to swap the tyres from the stock alloys to the new ones and then put the new alloys on the car, guessing something wasn't quite right with the tyre or they hadn't sealed it properly. To be fair they pretty much bodged it from the get go, said it'd be done in an hour and they didn't touch it, went back an hour later they'd swapped the alloys and not the tyres and went back after work and they'd done 3 of the tyres and left one that was on the new alloys when I bought it...

From the pic it looks like the age code on the DOT number is either worn off or more likely on the other side of the tire.
