All it took to get Buzz to start on the first turn of the key again was a new set of firing pins.......good to go now!

Dropped my F56 off at the dealer for a recall. Insufficient side impact protection for rear seats. Guess they'll rip out the side panels and spray it with some "Great Stuff". For an Orange 2016 Justa as a loaner. I'm not impressed with the 3 calendar turbo motor. Gotta drive the 70 miles back down there tomorrow and get my car back.

Not today, but yesterday I went Golfing, spent the day going over hill & dale on Ohio back roads with a good friend. First exploration of the Eric's Riverrun 2016 roads. We even discovered a new to me donut shop! Man I'm so lucky to have such wonderful roads so close to the old folks home I live in. What a splendid day in my MINI substitute.

Crashton, I'm looking to do a nice drive one last time before I put my 05 up for the winter. Got another one in mind?

drained perfectly good Redline transmission oil and pumped in the purple Synchromax. While at it, removed rear wheels, lubed anti swap bar, then when car was on jack stands and the tailgate was open, the garage door opened.... 1 foot deep scratch in hatch. Depression set in. 10 years and no mark on the car, now, for a completely unimportant job, I mess up the car so much that I need to get the hatch repainted.

I opened up my garage door so my MINI could see it raining! It is, after all, somewhat unusual.
I'm in complete control of the opener...Attached Files:

Glad you are getting rain. Hope it doesn't wash you away, but do hope it eases the drought.

well, I am about to park the car for its winter hibernation. Too cold to mess with paint repair and a lot of time to think about how to fix. I may try touch up and polish, and maybe put some go fast stickers on the worst sections, or just repaint the whole hatch, although that money could buy me some other goodies, or pay for part of my son's R53 insurance that's about to make a big dent in my budget.
We're actually very close to buying a completely bone stock '06 JCW for him - not super low miles, but one owner lady driven, dealer maintained and from the southwest. Will take my mind off the scratch as soon as we head down there to bring it home. -

Spend Sunday putting mat in the doors, and rewiring new head unit. I can get volume for a period of time but after a while it disappears.
Getting a little irritated with project. Never had this much trouble with an aftermarket install.
