So far you can do a lot more with this on R56 or newer.. can only diagnose R53.. no coding but that is a neat app and makes things A LOT easier...

Not so much what I did with my MINI, because all I did was drive it to her place, but... I now have no clue how Nathan drove a Smart car while the Gnatster was down! Who puts the door handles on the back of the car? And have you ever heard of passenger leg room? It rode nice for what it was though, and it won't be the last time. [emoji2]

Now you're talking' some SERIOUS stick-on HP gains. I'd say on a par with this guy. :D

Picked up the clubby from the shop.
Had the second boost pressure sensor replaced to hopefully appease a low boost pressure code that's been happening. Boost was fine so faulty sensors are suspect.
Had the thermostat and housing replaced since it just started throwing codes for it.
Oil change while they were at it.

Put the snow shoes on both MINIs. Love the Blizzaks!

I see it as win/win, I'm not set up to do paint work and he's not set up to do heavy mechanical stuff. Each according to their strengths....the car came with a new clutch in the box, all I have to do is install it.

I'm going to try and do this one in the car rather than pull the engine - if I can.

Got the rusty red Clubby up on the lift - wasn't easy tho, there was very little sheet metal left in the sills, floor or A panels to lift on, and the rear front subframe mounts were broken too. There also were no bolts in the front subframe mounts, so I scrounged up some 1/2" bolts and snugged that end down.

With a judicious application of boards to spread the load, she lifted without making any bad noises, and I got the clutch out today.

Tomorrow I'll do some cleanup and put it back together and see if it runs! This is the first classic Mini clutch I've done with the engine in the car, I usually just pull the motor first but I have to say it wasn't too bad....a later model Verto clutch would be even easier......

Glad your guy can mod the door for you Chuck.

I changed the earl in Babs clubster. Love the easy oil change on her Justaclubster. Although I ran into one hiccup. The o-ring on Mr Dimple's magnetic drain plug busted. Very glad I saved the original one.

Jesse- Drive that MINI this winter. I have a set of MINI snow shoes you can buy.

I'll drive my other R53 - got Continental DWS that have done well for me in NJ and OH winters. If it gets too bad, I take the wife's Wrangler.

This one is auto so I added a Viper Smart Start. Uses cellular, so no need for line of sight. w00t.

Wouldn't mind pulling the switches and harness for heated seats out of my track car and throwing it in the winter car. Seats have the heating elements.
