We put two baby seats in the 11 Countryman and gave the keys to the kids, that really made me nervous!

Had to take both Countrymans to the airport last eve to pick up kids, grand-kids and luggage. :)

Really was fun, glad I am not driving a Suburban or Tahoe or Jeep GC anymore. :p

On a whim this afternoon I called my dealer to check the status on my new motor. Service rep said it was being test driven as we spoke. They were however having trouble coding the rear fogs. Said they would check further and call me tomorrow. Since I have an appointment at the Durham VA Thursday I told them I would pick up the car instead of them delivering it. Five minutes after hanging up I got a call from the service manager to ask how my car was. He was under the impression that I already had it. Anyway, I explained about the rear fogs and he's looking into it and I guess I'll find out the results when I pick the car up. Oh yeah, the reason he called was to see if I got the customer service survey and if I had filled it out yet. We agreed that it was a tad premature to rate my service department experience. I'll take care of that after I get the car back. I wasn't expecting the new motor to arrive until tomorrow.

Not actually my Mini, but I'll be bidding farewell to this F55 S loaner when I pick my car up tomorrow. I will not miss those tiny doors. They are really starting to wear on me. Nice enough car except for the tiny doors and small wheels. Never driven one before that had every option block checked.

Well... If they weren't putting so dang many doors on it, the doors wouldn't be so dang small...

Now... Of course MINI could simply make the body bigger.... You know... To allow for bigger doors...

Nah.... They wouldn't really do that would they?

No way! There would be too many of us complaining on how big it was! (as if we aren't already)

The road leaving my office is about a mile and a half long stretch of road with some straights and some nice bends in it. I was pulling out and some young guy in a charger R/T with "dubs" revved passed a stop sign and gave me a snooty look as he rolled by. SO, Bitsy and I decided to show him that his big ass heavy car with big ass heavy wheels aint s**t. I caught up to him at the first big bend to the left, as he struggled to keep his inside lane I rolled right passed him, hit the straight and stayed in the throttle hard, hit the next bend to the right still in the throttle and the last long straight is right after, I didn't look back untill about half way down the straight which is about an 1/8 mile. He didn't even gain on me thru the straight. Are those chargers as slow as he made it seem? He was giving it all he/the car had. Maybe it's broken?

Dubs are 20" wheels or larger. The super huge obnoxious wheels are called Donks

Now that it's clean, I think your car would look so much nicer roaring down the road, whipping around the twisty bends and seeing a big grin on your face.

    :D

Then going back in and dusting off your car all over again.

Went to a monthly professional group luncheon meeting and it was the first time we had people show up with all three generations of the modern MINI.
