Picked up my car today...... twice. First time I made it about 20 miles and the CEL came on and the screen said take it easy and call service department. Just prior to this I noticed it seemed down in power. Duh! They told me to bring it back or take it home which ever was closer for me. They were gonna send someone to pick it up tomorrow if I went home. Decided to drive back to dealer and either get it fixed or get another loaner. Anyway, it turned out the boost tube from the intercooler to intake had slipped off the manifold. Voila! Instant Justa Cooper! A spring clip had failed. Took a few minutes to sort it out and drop the belly pan and look everything over one last time.
They replaced the motor, a few bits and pieces, and replaced my rear shocks. Ran like a champ all the way home. Now, to put another 900 miles on it and change the oil, re-install my NM module, and maybe an AWE intake (depending on the dyno results). If the weather holds off I'm going to have the wheels and tires mounted Saturday. New TPMS came in a day early.

^^^ Glad to hear everything ended going well for you !! New engine and soon to be new wheels and tires it's almost like Christmas. I don't recall you mentioning anything about your shocks before but that could be old age showing it's ugly head.

Yeah. If that's the only glitch when changing out a motor i'll count myself lucky. I don't know if I mentioned the shocks or not. Right after I got it I noticed the occasional clunk from the rear end. I figured it was a combination of the sport suspension and/or some of the junk in the boot, but after I got it back from the body shop it was emptied out and still I would get the random clunk. Usually happened when the suspension was unloaded going over a hump or RR crossing. I asked them to check it out and they found a TSB about the rear shocks. No part number listed on the work order so I'm calling in the AM to make sure they replaced them with the right shocks.

Just got back from getting new wheels, tires, and TPMS mounted.
The cellphone pictures suck, so I thought I'd make up for it by making the pictures BIGGER.

Took a spin in my 70 and wound up over at my buddy Steve's place. Worked on the race car for a few hours, finishing up a re-install of our radio and fitting a new rear bumper and tail lights.
