I took my car out and got Lunch today.
Oh and UPS dropped off parts for my winter motor swap project.

Took my wife over to Columbus today for brunch with my family and nephew and his daughter from Colorado...great food, but even better was the chance to see everyone and the SMOOTHE ride over and back on the new tires on my S. Unfortunately, tomorrow they get taken off and the Blizzaks get installed for upcoming Winter driving...oh well, Springtime and MOTD are not too far off. Her S will get the snows later this week.

First really cold mornings (20F yesterday and 25F today) and I can report that the
G-LOC GS-1 street pads that I put on my R55 JCW this past summer do really well
in cold temperatures and really don't need any warming up at all. Dust is also WAY
down, lighter, and easier to remove compared to the original stock pads.-

I am the same way Lee. I don’t feel like doing mechanical work on my car other than brake pads, tire swaps and the basic maintenance. I have my new motor almost 100% ready to go in my car in February when the one guy I trust returns to PA.
The motor is a 1.62 RMW with full forged internals. My RMW head will also be refreshed.-

A cozy cabin, great handling and
ride even with the square setup
all season run flats,, great clutch,
and a ton of hp and low end torque.
My wife is really liking it.-

I parked it out of the driveway so I could mulch up the 10 bazillion leaves in my yard - I have a 100 ft tall pin oak in my front yard that usually takes all winter and into the spring to drop it's leaves, but this year we had a sudden cold snap coupled with a really big windstorm and I think about 90% of them are down - along with all my neighbor's leaves which seem to be in my yard too!
So I put the mulching kit on the ZTR and went after them. It always looks so nice after a good mulching and clean up - for about 1 day! Between the neighbor's trees and the wind, I'll have another good coating of them in a week or so, but at least the first level is gone. They were as much as 2 ft deep in places.....-

Gave Bitsy her 135k oil change this morning, topped off fluids and gave the engine bay a lil wipe down. She needs a bath but it's too damn cold out.
