I've been looking at electrics for my wife, as she only drives a few miles on her rounds, and that's only a few times a week now too.
But................she's not interested in getting something that's not as nice as her current Audi and none of the "affordable" electrics come close in luxury or amenities, they all look like stripped down commuter cars unless you go WAY up in price. No leather for example - which she insists on.
It would make so much sense for her and her driving to have something like a Leaf.....-

Anyhow, for my MINI this past weekend I painted the garage added more lights. All T5 6500 Kelvin electronic ballasts. I had the garage door open on a 40 degree day and it was 65 in the garage. With the door closed 78 degrees was very easy to get to. I use these lights for detailing and curing coatings overnight.
Next weekend I will be insulate the garage door and maybe hang two new black cabinets. I will also be picking up a roller tool chest / bench made by Milwaukee.-

Lights are pretty cheap these days. I have a 5 twin bulb lights in our garage. With white ceiling & walls it's a lot of light. We also added a heater to keep things warm while doing car work in winter. For summer I leave the door open to the house & the AC from the house cools the garage to bearable temps.
If I was doing it again I'd go with some 4 light fixtures. Although I don't need to cure sealer.-

Was invited to the official local unveiling of the MINI Cooper SE. Reps from MINI Canada were present to answer any questions and such. The hor d'ouvres were good.
They are sold out on their first official day of selling them, but taking factory orders now.
You don't have to have the vomit green color mirrors and emblems. and you get to choose your wheels.-

I was planning to get the R53 out of hibernation this week but us Ohioans are now locked down. Plugged my toys back in...covered them back up because it’s going to be a awhile before they can come out and play.

Okay...I've been working from home for a full 2 weeks and only going out when I need to.
So last night, feeling somewhat claustrophobic, and getting temperamental with my family, I jumped in my car and went for a 2 hour drive on mostly empty twisty highways.
I feel much better today.-

I will have a JAN / RMW dyno tune done again when my motor is done and the 1000cc sculled. The motor is already broken in with just under 3,000 miles on it so it will be ready rip when it goes in. My buddy is doing the install and will take some pictures.
Don, prayers sent for your family.-

Yesterday I took my old bike on a 40 min. ride. It looks like the generator is working!
Today I changed the oil in my wife's Mini and rotated the tires.-

Thank you everyone for the well wishes for my niece, she will actually get out of post isolation this week and get to see her boy, it has been a long up and down three weeks.
As for our MINIs, nothing but grocery shopping and now we are doing delivery from Whole Foods and King Soopers (Kroger), Whole Foods (Prime) appears to be a better experience, free delivery and they did not ding the doorbell so I guess not tipping either. Win and Win! Since WF is a bit more in cost.
Full disclosure, no TP.
