Drove to Fontana today. No hiccups. Yay.

I learned there is a pool as to what might break this year. Ahhh. Such confidence among my peers.

Polished the bonnet and boot of the 16 Countryman PL, packed and leave in the morning, I hope the weather is kind to me. I will be in Dragon Land on Thursday, a few stops along the way.

Carried my telescope (TV Ranger with solar filter on it)
past my MINI and set it up on the sidewalk to see a
tiny black dot on the face of the sun (Mercury).
Now time to drive the MINI to work.
Tomorrow it goes for its power steering recall and oozing
    ps hose replacements.

Yesterday, worked through my punch list of little interior and exterior cosmetic and rattles and stuff. Car is much less rattly and squeaky now, but still has enough for "character". Topped off meth tank.

The car has been built for almost 5 months, and has NEVER been washed. I've hit it with Griots Spray-on Carwash a couple of times. That's it.

Today will pack tools and spare parts and detailing supplies, and start loading stuff. Picking up abuzavi at the airport late this afternoon.

Yes. Given they are for the proper generation of car. The F56 generation have a 5 bolt pattern.

    Pictures when done, please. :biggrin5:

They're for an 05 R52 with the 4 bolt. I have a R53 with a 4 bolt but these don't quite do what i want. I'd rather wait a bit longer for some wider tires, 7.5 or something.

Plus they're not really the design i like. They're the 5 spoke design and not the 8

I adjusted the exhaust so it would not rattle, repainted the hood scoop, and replaced the brake fluid with fresh Hi temp fluid. All I have left to do is repaint the chrome around the headlights and aim my driving lights. Then I will be ready for the Dragon!

Take the old one, finish off in bright red because everybody knows red is faster, and then you have a option for when you want a different look in the future. :postcount

I repainted the trim around the lights, aimed the driving lights put the hood scoop back on, and adjusted the driver side window. Car is ready for the Dragon. Well maybe put the CB back in.
