On Friday I had the guys at Helix install my new intercooler and do a bunch of coding. Great work as always.

I'm still trying to figure out how Jan switched my engine at the Dragon. Unbelievable, the changes it made. Those of you that know me, know that I'm not a 'racer' and love curvy roads. And, I have an auto trans. Jan played wit my car and it is absolutely perfect for me. The auto trans shift points are predicable, the throttle response is terrific and I call it my 'Dragon" tune. Jan 'made my day'...thanks...

Any more details on the differences in the trans, engine, and overall driveablility? I also have an auto and want to have Jan tune my car sometime this year. I just need to figure out when I can make it down to LA.

Need to intake/exhaust first, but it'll happen in due time. -

I had Jan tune mine a couple of years ago and it is unbelievable. Other MINI people that drive my car can't believe the throttle response. On top of that I get better mileage. Friday I filled up at the Shell just before the parkway, drove hard all the way back to Fontana and got 21 mpg.
Jan just doesn't "tune" your car. He asks what you want out of it. My answer was some more power, response, and more mpg. That's what I got. -

Your 05 is a gen 1 body while the hatch in question is a gen 2 body style. I'm not saying it won't but I wouldn't bet on it.

Not today but yesterday and a little bit of Monday... Covered a lot of ground in the Porker heading home from the Dragon. Yesterday we left Clarksville TN. at 5:00 AM and was back in Denver at 10:00 PM. [emoji12]
It was great seeing everyone, when we were around Fontana! There's a lot of people I missed or only saw heading the other direction, but there's always next year if we missed each other...
Lee, you were looking good on the Dragon when I saw you headed out. [emoji2]

I agree... Nice work Chaz....
I built a rig that attached to my Bridgeport mill to spin the rims when I refurbished mine...
It got rid of a ton of hand labor...
