My MINI sat out the weekend as I moved my son to start his first full time job. It took over 3 months to get his security clearance. They had to move him from secret to top secret. Now he'll never be able to tell me what he does.

Did an exterior detail on my mini -- hand wash, clay bar, wax, plastic-trim restoration. First time I've done this on my new-to-me 2009 MCS. Discovered it had more paint dings that I thought, and the trim is loose in some places
but other than that it looks fantastic -- very shiny!

Looks great.
How some people think Chili Red is not the best color is beyond me. -

My thoughts exactly about Chili Red. It doesn't seem like a "real" mini if it's not red...

Dropped mine off at the body shop to get the bonnet and bumper touched up.

Started with a headliner replacement today. Got it out in about 2 hours, then spent 4 hours cleaning the old headliner. What a messy job, even with the proper tools and patience.
Tomorrow it's time for the 3M industrial strength glue to make it all pretty again. -

I don't have my MINI right now. It's on vacation getting a "little" upgrade work done.
I do have a 1998 Z3 M Coupe in my garage that I have been detailing the past few days that I may be able to finish tomorrow.
Everyone thinks it is a new car now. When car people can't tell how old a car is by looking at it tells me I have done another great job.

Second, I do the same things including doing the wheels the exact same way, I take off wheels and polish and glass seal them the same way. Hand waxing is simple and not impressive at all when you use high end waxes.
Let's see how they would do on an 18 year old daily driver with 113.000 miles that sits outside and was not moved or washed in 6 months. <<< Cars like this are a high end detailer nightmares and most of them will not touch them.
You will see my work when Eric the owner Helix gets his car back next week. -
