My wife was complaining about the sun getting into her eyes on our last weekend outing down in Amish country..... Sooooooo
I did the lateral sunvisor mod..... Removed the Oh S#!+ grab handle on the passenger side and attached a Left / Right side lateral sunvisor for the passenger..... A simple 5 minute mod....
All is good now....

This past weekend I was running some errands and herd a tapping sound at one of my stops. I popped the hood when I got home and just as I suspected the stupid tensioner back bushing is gone and the two metal parts were tapping together.
See no tensioner stop needed as I was still driving the car and no damage was caused. I don't drive slow either. I always have a tensioner, belt and the belt tool in my garage. So later Saturday I did a full wash, polish and detail for about 6 + hours. On Sunday I did the belt and tensioner change and all is back to normal again.
I also ordered myself an early birthday present to myself since I am replacing my entire clutch, guide tube, axel seal and rear main seal. I decided to pickup an OS Giken super lock LSD. Out with the old sloppy OEM LSD and in with a true LSD. -

Got the winter shoes on the R53 and on the R60 this past weekend. Mazdaspeed6 gets winter shoes this coming weekend.
Also checked and topped basic fluids, with the R60 needing coolant (wtf). 2-3" of snow expected over next 30 hours here so perfect timing for the MINIs tires.
Also confirmed the R53 driver's front wheel bearing is crapping out. She be a bit floppy and howly.....dang it. Got one on order last night, so I can now continue looking for a shop do the wheel bearing, the newly purchased clutch kit, and "finally" install the stratmosphere exhaust.... -
I switched out the regular front page license plate mount for the aero one (since it has an aero kit) and mounted my new license plates.

Front License Plates..... :mad2::incazzato::mad2::incazzato:
For Thanksgiving I am thankful that our state ( PA ) does not have that stupid law / requirement. -
Got a call from the stealership, and what I and my ASE Certified Master tech school professor/instructor found to be an issue with my CV's apparently wasn't the issue and turns out to be a lower control arm bushing. They want 970. From what I've found the process to change it out isn't that involved and MOK said they'll need to drop the sub frame to change it. Why do dealerships gotta be so greedy and why do they gotta take the long road. Drop the control arm, pull off the old bushing, bolt on the new one and stick the control arm back in. :mad2:

Got back from Kansas, and encountered some light rain on the way home from the airport. The wiper blades were shot. Texas summers destroy wiper blades.
So, got some new ones and popped them on.

Checked my car's oil but saw this....this can't be good.

I put PIAA blades on my car 5 years ago. In those 5 years, I've driven through some rather extremes...summer and winter. I also periodically put Rain-X on my windshield. Still have those blades on my car and they work as good a new. They're not worn yet. I've been thinking it's time for new blades, but these ones are still working well. -
