Yep, garage fridge is full of beer, wine racks are fully stocked, the liquor cabinet is full of booze and my truck is full of diesel fuel! It's all the prep we need. Hmm, I guess we oughta hit the Save Mart for some food too...

Sounds like Rick needs a MINI-vention!!

Get a small group of proper MINI-iasts together and take him out for a nice twisty drive.

Oh wait- that sounds like fun on the Dragon!!!

Rick, those of us that know you and such really don't care what you drive. Heck in the MOM group several of us, (me), have GTIs now and yet we still feel welcome.

I agree with others, there is always an ass-hat that shows up and gets his jollies by upsetting the cart. EFF EM.

MINIs may have gotten us to MA, but it's the members of MA that make this worth staying around.

Drove two and a half hours to visit HELIX Motorsports to have a few odds and ends taken care of... My AC is once again functional just in time for summer! In addition to seeing Eric, Mike, Isaiah and Ryan, I also happened to see Mendra, Kathleen and Zack (Zillion). Besides the great company and excellent mechanical aptitude, one benefit of visiting Philly was getting to have a cheesesteak from Dalessandro's! It doesn't get any better!

WTF, they have your text to complain, time to change the number or restrict who can call or text.

Some folks are to damn sensitive.

Grow some thick skin or some balls.

Okay, this is actually what I plan to do with my MINI tomorrow.

Tomorrow is my birthday, and I plan to drive my MINI to my favorite barber shop for a haircut and a shave. I also plan to take my MINI to my favorite car wash for a complete cleaning, inside and out. I usually do that myself, but it's my birthday. I also plan to have lunch at my favorite pub, that serves up a really good Haddock and chips, which I will wash down with a good pint.

After that, the MINI and I will settle in for a nap. After that, the MINI stays parked in the garage, while I resume eating and drinking.

I went to the dealer today and picked up my new Areo bumper. Only 4 left in the country.
Now I am going to check out a few good local body shops to do the Chili Red part and I will take care of the textured sides and bottom and assembly.

Before it goes back on the car it will be covered with XPEL clear paint protection. (Clear vinyl)

Gee, Dick...it looks as if you like those stogies, too!

Me...I had a PERFECT day at the big BCD in Dayton, OH today. I won first place in the NEW MINI class! It's the first time my '03 Silk Green R50 has ever won first place there [every year since 2004], although I have taken some Awards of Excellence [aka 2nd place] before. First Place allows me to show the car next year in the Winners' Row and compete against this year's other class winners, AND I get to keep the First Place pics they took this year [they will mark the NEW MINI section at next year's show] when next year's show is over.

Managed to move everything into the new abode with help of a few other MINI friends and some family.

And also broke in the front porch for a multi-hour bull$#!+ session, while watching some nice rides making their way up the street to a cruise night a few miles away.

Man what chaotic couple of days. Tomorrow starts the fun of unpacking the last of the boxes, and putting the list of 'needed' essentials together.

Drove the family to San Francisco and the California Academy of Science as a little something before the kiddos start school next week. Had a blast! Then some yummy Burmese food afterward. :D

Took half of yesterday all the way through Sunday off work to get the Rat-MINI show worthy...

Saturday is the car show at MITM, and the 23rd is one of the biggest shows in Colorado (The KBPI Rockin Car Show), I will be attending both in hopes of collecting a couple trophies this summer.

    Wish me luck! [emoji12]

I had a GREAT day Saturday. I walked away from one of the worst top-down incidents I've ever seen. Blessed. I can rebuild the car. Never thought I would feel that way if this happened... but near-death experiences tend to recalibrate things a bit.

It'll be the same car - Locutus - just doing a simple chassis swap. All the important stuff will be the same.
