I would imagine it weathered that small hail just fine.
Unlike my 2014 Dodge in our baseball-sized hail storm a few weeks ago. That was stomach turning to watch.

 

Mini will fare better than the military grade Aluminum F-150. They will be totaling them out for hail after they are a couple years old.

 

That size hail shouldn't leave a mark. We get that here half the times it rains. You have to get up around quarter-size to get damage to most cars.

You should be okay.

My 1995 Mustang GT was six-months old when it got hit by a storm like that. It looked like the surface of the moon. It was in the body shop for a whole month. I remember wanting to shoot it to put it out of it's misery. :frown2:

Well, heat soak season is upon us here in North Texas. Officially, it was 94, but here in the burbs, where concrete covers most of the Earth, it was 98. And, I was reminded how much I hate that giant double sunroof. I have it tinted as dark as you can get, but I'd really be happier without that sunroof.

But, the MINI is clean, and looked good out there on the road.

I moved from WA to MS with my original Mini Blue. He had the double sun roof and ahhh. So Lucy was ordered with no sun roof. Now back in WI so Ethel is being built this week with a nice big sun roof.

Lucy had oil changed, Brake fluid flushed and changed, new front pads on the brakes, along with a micro filter all on her SPA plan. I had them rotate the tires but one had a nail. They are Faulken non-runflats and if they pull the nail it is in a repairable place. But alas the dealer has no patches only plugs so I have to run by tires plus and get the nail pulled.

 

Hey CD. Have you ever tried Zippeeshade? I used them on the sunroof of my '07 MCS and liked them so much that I left then on for most of the year. Didn't want and don't have a sunroof on the current Mini.

After suffering with my 03 JCW's sunroof and the accompanying heat and noise, when I ordered my 2009 Clubman S I spec'd NO sunroof. I've been much happier without it....

Today I installed a set of Smootha Ride Moulton cones on a friend's classic Mini. I only got the right side done today, tomorrow I'll pull the gas tank so I can do the left rear, and the radiator so I can do the left front and change the leaking water pump.

 

I drove my MINI to a doctor's appointment, put the top down, and enjoyed the hell out of it...

I put a perforated Union Jack decal on my sunroof. I had it made at Fast Signs for $200 installed.



They said it passes 25% of the light that falls on it.

Monday, our local club is driving in a Memorial Day parade. I am having a full detail done Tuesday, but I would be embarrassed to drive it in a parade dirty. I actually washed it !!!! This may not sound like a lot, but it was for me. I am paying The price with my back and all...BUT IT REALLY MADE ME FEEL GOOD. And, I have a whole day to recuperate

 

I went for a nice run with friends today.
