Looks like your car is doing Nathan GNAT impression.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

That's how I remember his car going home from the Dragon several times.

I always managed to drive home from the dragon.:D My MINI rode the flat bed a few times. This is a first for the German bread van. I'm hoping it's the last. :fingerscrossed:

Well, I noticed last week my front right tire was down a good bit. Started watching more closely. Turns out there was a double puncture (side-by-side) in the tread. No point in trying to fix it. Ended up ordering new Continental ExtremeContact Sports to replace the almost cooked Bridgestones I had on. Drove out to TireRack's warehouse in New Castle to pick them up in my sister's Escape and had them mounted and balanced at the local PepBoys.

I liked the ExtremeContact DWs in the past and these are supposed to be the latest and greatest version of those. So, we'll see how they hold up. I saved the two best tires of the Bridgestones I had on, just in case I pick up another "something" on the road before these are cooked from driving.

Today I gave the Helmet and Runt a bath. Vacuumed out my wife convertible. Then installed rear shocks, changed the oil, put in a new air filter and changed plugs on my daughters Honda. I am getting old.....
Now my wife and I are headed to dinner!

Worked all week detailing and patching up my wife's Pepper White '06 MCSa [it has an aero kit and she has cracked the front lower bumper in places as she seems to NOT be able to judge how close to a curb she really is!]. :mad2:

Anyway, today I took the car to the big British Car Day in Dayton, OH, and it won first place in its class!
I guess some hard work now and then DOES pay off in the end. Next year, I have to compete with the car in Winners Row, against the really spiffy cars...:fingerscrossed:

She's visiting her family in Spain right now. I "think" she will be happily surprised when she gets back home next month....:ihih:

Well, I'm sad to report that I sold one MINI today. I said goodbye to my 03 R53, BUT, it went to an exceptional home, I know the new owner well and know it will be loved and will be very well cared for.

Me and Wolfgang, the 06 JCW will motor on, and motor on with the old r53 as a buddy.

The new Contis are GREAT tires! I just got a set in April to replace my DW summer tires and I'm very impressed with the improvement in feel and
response and improved dry performance without any loss of the outstanding wet performance that the DW had.

Contis are great, going on the 16 Countryman in about 5K miles soon as the runflat noise become more unbearable.

Nice picture of the Helmut and Runt, nice house too. QVALE S is a sweet classic. Keep this one, eh!

    :)

At Carmax to get an offer on the WRX as negotiating leverage at the dealer.

My MINI will arrive at the dealer tomorrow and I am scheduled to pick it up Friday in the afternoon after they get it tinted.

Qik, glad you got your Mini back it does look good! Redbeard it going to be a long day!

I have done NOTHING with my Minis. I had to leave Sunday. That morning I drove the Helmet to church when I came out I could see very very small sap spots on the car. I didn't have time to wash it (agin) before I put it up. I know what I will be doing when I get home Saturday! I hate sap!
Its driving me up the wall knowing it is in the garage with sap on the paint.......I am getting as OCD as Dave.0.

Dealer low balled my trade-in value. Sold it for way better $ to Carmax. Now I have to see if my bank (luckily same as Carmax) will credit the bank draft same day. Otherwise, I am stuck waiting until Monday to get my car.

It was there at the dealer. It had just come back from tint. Looked good. Sales guy started it and let me mess with it. Dang exhaust sounds good for stock. Rumble pop and burble. Ahhhhh!!!! I'm so close.

Good call going to Carmax. When we traded Babs oil burner in on her clubster we got a price from Carmax before heading to the dealer to get her car. Our dealer beat Carmax by a fair bit which to me was quite a surprise.

Hang in there, a few more days won't kill you, but it sure will feel like it. Hope you get it today. :fingerscrossed:

What am I doing with my MINI today? I'm climbing on a plane to fly to Austin to pick it up tomorrow morning and drive it home over the weekend! An '05 JCW R53 (my favorite) in Chili Red (new for me, after my low-key PW/PW) with painted arches and the red leather interior.
