I got mine dirty Thursday and Friday, so I gave it a quick wash today.

AutoX'ed it today. Not too bad for being really rusty and on OE runflats. I came in 8th out of 34 in my class. There was only about 1/2 second separating 8th-2nd. Pretty damn cool.
It was fun. The JCW really likes a good run like today. I, however, am gonna stick to competitive shooting. It's cheaper and I get to do it more often. -
picked up new tires, did a super charger service, installed a new engine mount, and tried to install a new tensioner on one car. Found one bold missing and broken off in block. Not going to be fun to get that one out.
Then installed new light bulbs and adjusted headlights on the other. Drove it a few miles, too. -

Packed my Dark Gray r53 with all the stuff I need for a week away from home, camping and working at the Petit Le Mans. Also got some gas, actually the first 6.61 gallons in 13 months. 141 miles since Sept 25, 2016 and 1/3rd tank used. That's what happens when you have too many cars to drive and don't commute in any of them.

Had it a week now. Like the feel of the knob and the shifting
better than the stock one. Good product. If they made a leather
cover for the delrin shell, it would be even better.
Maybe someday they will. (hint, hint ... ) -
Did my annual volunteer thing for an event called Ride For Refuge. Was a route patrol, sweep vehicle. I had a few bike repairs to do this year but it was all good fun and for a good cause.

I went to lunch and to IKEA with a friend, but we took his truck -- it was raining most of the day, and I washed my MINI on Sunday. So, My MINI stayed nice and dry in my garage.

Found a really good price on NGK BKR7EQUP (JCW) plugs so I ordered a set.

Left the hotel in the morning fog for some fog-cutter. -
Not much being done with MINIs the last few days, eh?
I drove mine up to Lake Texoma to photograph a 1929 Packard. It was all back roads, and driving home was in the dark. I reduced the flying insect population of Denton and Grayson counties significantly last night. At some points, it sounded like rain hitting the windshield. So, today was wash the bug guts off the MINI day.
BTW, below is a shot of the Packard, if anyone is interested. I love pre-war Packards.

Washed the R53. Then I took the wheels off the Helmet and washed the backs of the wheels and the suspension and gave it a very good bath. Tomorrow I will get up early and through some wax on it. The its off to put it in the Euro car show.
On a side note I am disappointed in all of us MA'ers. I posted a problem with my radio and not one person said CHECK YOUR BATTERY. Guess what when I tried to pull the Helmet out of the garage the battery was DEAD! Tried putting a charger on it and it just started acting flaky. So new battery was installed but I did not register the batt. I guess it is going to get a trip to the dealer. -
