    Just put a new battery in my wife's mini. Does anyone know if it really matters if you register the battery?

    In person, it is very close. In the photo I attached, the blue greys out a little, but in person, the blue has more "pop" to it.

    You might not need to register your battery. Have a look at the negative battery cable, if there is a little black box right next to the terminal clamp, then you should register the battery, if not, then you can pass on battery registration.

    I've heard that cars with comfort access have the battery monitor on the negative terminal.

    I can’t get Carly to work with ether my ELM or Kiwi3 reader. I’m giving up on readers that use phones and iPads. I ordered the one from ECS. I wish Carly would have worked.

    My 2009 R55S had Comfort Access, no little box, and mated happily with a Walmart battery without being 'registered'.

    It's all very confusing.

    Make sure you reset the choke and adjust the carbs for the new battery and top of the high beam headlight fluid. :lol:

    My 2009 didn't seem to care when I replaced it's battery, everything still works as before, didn't even lose my radio presets or trip computer info.

    Not today but yesterday.
    I took my brother-in-law for a ride in the Helmet.:arf::devil: Last year he was very insulting but thats not really new, most of the time he is a ok guy though. Anyway he asked what made a coupe different then my other Mini, he hadn't seen it yet, I was trying to tell him but he kept interrupting. I said lets go take a look at it. Said he liked it and that the interior looked like a lingerie shop. I offered a ride......:biggrin5: It was 54 degrees so I was having trouble getting the tiers to hookup so I was trying to be easy on the pedal. As we accelerated past 80 towards a stop he was grabbing anything he could find to hold on to, you know when all you drive is 4 door sedans and are not the one driving it makes you really feel the rush. I calmly said it has very good brakes about a second before I nailed the brakes and stoped well before I needed. He took it well, he said his balls were in his stomach after that.:lol::lol: When we got out he said" nice car but I bet the cops love to pull you over". When we went in he told everyone he had it scared out of him and his balls still had not come down.:lol:

    Last year at the dinner table he was smart about my Indian not being done, he doesn't ride and has never restored anything. This year he started it agin,. When asked if it was running I said I needed one drain plug. He smiled and said you said that last year. My wife said dont you have pictures. I passed around my phone with the finished bike on it. I said I did it all even the paint. When challenged I showed pictures of my wife making my paint booth. That shut that down. After dinner is when he asked and was a little smart about the helmet. The ride shut that down.

    Sorry for the long post but I was dreading Thanksgiving because of last year. I am a big believer in family and my In-laws are my family now. I like my brother in law. We are just very different.

    It was a GOOD THANKSGIVING!:lol::lol::lol:
